Received a call from the same number just after 12pm ,(Indian accent)was told my pc had sent them a computer error and she was there to "fix it " I was a bit dubious but asked her to go on and she hung up.

Didn't let the person get a word in. Just answered the phone is really crazy baby talk and they hung up. Too bad so sad. These low lifes who rip off the uninformed & ones who can least afford it. Just goes to show that some people still believe the world is flat and everyone who phones your home or office is a honest decent person!

Yup, lead him on a wild goose chase for over an hour before he told me he was smarter than me then hung up. They should prey on less tech-savvy people.

received my first call from this number this afternoon. I tend not to answer any overseas or unknown numbers and my phone isn't connected to the internet, am I going to be safe?

Getting numerous calls from this number - 2 or 3 a day.
When answered there is silence before a recorded msg saying "goodbye".
I suspected it was one of those computer tech scam numbers and see from other comments I was correct.

I received call on Friday afternoon. They asked me if I was the owner of the computer I was on (I wasn't on the computer, but said I was on it) and to and put in the following......blah blah. I pretended I was doing what they told me and they said. It was a long combination of the windows button followed by letters.. I had them on saying OMG, no, there can't be anything wrong with my computer, you must help me!!! lol In the end I got sick of it and told them they were thieves and scammers and hung up.

My husband answered a call from this number last week and got the recorded message saying "goodbye". Is there any way to check if they have accessed my computer.

would be nice if someone would actually do something about these calls. even after telling them im a computer tech and leading them on a wild goose chase to no avail they still call.

Caller from this number claiming to be from Telstra

Have had several scamming calls lately from asian call centres, pretending to be from "Windows Service Department" or similar "ringing about your computer". This is the first one that has shown a calling number. I simply cut them short with "Why are you ringing me? I know you are criminals." The line immediately goes dead. I would love Telstra to give customers an option where any call originating from outside Oz (with or without a calling number ID) has to pass through a prompt that gives the calling location and the option to refuse the call.

Got home and found a missed call from this number at 2:10pm. Did what I always do and googled the number. 13604690456, glad I wasn't home.

Just got a call from this number saying that I was downloading an illegal file, but they knew my location so I'm confused.

Continually hassled by apparent technical support - males & female from Indian call centre. They have not stopped calling our number for over 12 months now. Will not take "NOT INTERESTED IN YOUR SCAM!" as a response & continue to call!

Just had a call from an indian sounding man saying i hadn't responded to emails, so they thought they had better call instead to tell me i had problems with my computer. i asked him what computer i had and he said a windows computer. i said that's strange i have a mac and he stopped talking and just did heavy breathing until he hung up
