Caller: SMS +13 39 33
I had an SMS from +13 39 33 stating "URGENT: Reconnect to your primary home broadband service immediately to avoid having your backup mobile connection restricted. Need Help? Contact us on 133 933."
I'm thinking this is related to either Telstra or NBN as I have never had this type of message before and have only recently connected to Telstra NBN.

I recently changed to Telstra and the following day, I received a text msge as follows. I concerned why this occurred at the time of change to Telstra and how they got my details. I’m thinking this is someway related to Telstra as I didn’t experience this before and it appears that others who has experienced this is also with Telstra.

Recieved an SMS from 133 933 saying "URGENT: Reconnect to your primary home broadband service immediately to avoid having your backup mobile connection restricted. Need Help? Contact us on 133 933."
Called Telstra and they confirmed it is a scam.
They advised not to call the number and to delete the SMS as soon as possible.
They also advised that there is scam going around where a man is pretending to be from Telstra's technical support. They advised to hang up immediately.

Similar to other callers. I had a message : Urgent : Reconnect to your primary home broadband service immediately to avoid having your backup mobile connection restricted. Need help? Contact us on 133933. Foolishly I did and I still have no idea if it was Telstra or a scam . Very realistic . I hope I am not going to be sorry. Will now contact Telstra to check this out .

I have received the same text message and have received a phone call from foreign speaking people at least 3-5 times a week about my internet connection. I have blocked every phone call so they now try to call on "unknown" number - duh!!

Caller had no number showing and said I had computer problem and was she (Indian accent I think) calling from Telstra. Figured it was bullsh*t scam. She gave me Telstra # as listed here and her ID # when I queried her legitimacy. I know for fact that Telstra always show #. Told her to F### off :-)

Totally useless service.
Offshore waste of time and sanity.
Sent over and over to different people, who must ask the SAME questions and do the SAME things to then tell you .. oh need another area.. and ON IT GOES
Another wasted day. Worst phone company in the WORLD!

The 13 39 33 is a text message coming from the mobile number attached to the smart modem (4g). The NBN is off in my area and it switched over to the backup 4g 4 days ago. I rang Telstra on 1800 834 273 to confirm.
