Caller: Jessica William Employee number TLD8600552

I called Telstra and they told me that no one called me today.. She also gave me the Address for Telstra in Melbourne. The phone number she gave was 132200.. saying that my internet is not secure and there are scammers trying to use my Internet, when In told her that my internet is password protected she told me that means nothing and scammers can get into anyone's internet and she also got cranky with me for saying that..I told her I would call Telstra myself and ask if there is a problem, she said go ahead and she would call me on Monday....Be Aware they are out there....

Most people in call centres don't give you their surname - I think it's policy, or something.

I received two calls today. One call was from a woman saying she was from Telstra and that I have a problem with my internet, I said I don't have a problem with my internet and she raised her voice insisting that I have a problem with my internet - "Mam I am from Telstra and I am telling you, you have a problem with your internet" I told her I don't have an account with Telstra and by the way this call is being recorded at which point she hung up.
The other call was about 10 min later and it was a man this time, and he said he was from Telstra, I said I don't have an account with Telstra, I asked him what his name was and he said Kevin Luis and I said Spanish? and he said yes so I started speaking to him in Spanish (various language lessons have paid off over the years), he hesitated and said I beg your pardon Mam, I asked you don't speak Spanish? and he said we are not authorised to speak any other language but English.
I asked him what is the Telstra address and phone number he was calling from, he said 242 Exhibition St Melbourne Victoria and phone number 13 22 00.
I also told him the call was being recorded and he kept on for a bit more until he got fed up and hung up.
Is there someone out there who can get rid of these people by putting them in jail once and for all. A lot of people would be very grateful.

I looked up 13 22 00 and apparently it is a Telstra general enquiries number. I think it's a scammer though, who gives out a legit number before hanging up. If anyone phones back on Telstra General Enquiries how on earth will you be put through to some foreign person with an unlikely name and a thick accent?

Got email today which is from a Spanish source, claiming that my AutoPay payment for my Telstra account had failed, and to contact them immediately on 132200.
Not a Telstra contact number, and I do not use PayPal.

received a call through a private number, said something about technical difficulty impacting our area, when she requested for my private details, I was very alert about this, especially when she asked for my license detail. Do not give out any of your details as they are SCAMS

Be careful everyone, the low-life on the end of this call tried to scam my 90 yr old mother. Luckily I was there with her at the time, I let him go on with his speel, he was pretty convincing until the point where he started to ask for driver licence or passport ID, I just hung up on him. Very thick phillipino accent.

Caller pretending to be TELSTRA number appeared on my phone as 132200 but when I checked it was (02) 9458 0000 and in researching here I have verified both numbers are a scam. Caught them out when they asked for my date of birth and I never give that out when they have called me.

Caller: Male with accent called he said he was from Telstra Tech

When asked he said his name was Shawn Martin id TLD86052. He said to call 132200 to varify his id but he wanted me to use a different phone and keep my land line open. He would not answer any questions in regards to my internet or why he called. I terminated the call.

I was called by (02) 9459 8000 on a Sunday and he had a really thick Indian accent I told him NEVER call on sunday and I believe this is a scam and he kept arguing with me then I told him to go away and I hung up and he rang me back . I hung up again and then I was sent a message to say that my complaint was closed.
They gave me the 132200 to call and when I call it it asks me my date of birth etc which I will not give and hang up. Someone is obviously stealing my details from NBM complaints is anyone else having this issue
