can't fault them for being keen but this is a scam - not a real baycorp number

Receiving the same messages, calls etc. so my question is if they are being reported why haven't they been stopped?

It's a scam. I've been getting these calls and texts for over 6 years. Even if I had a debt, you can't legally collect on it after 5 years.

Its real. I work for a Finance company and use a different number for Baycorp and was sceptical of this because of the message above. It is the real Baycorp and I advise that if you have a message, you need to confirm if its your debt otherwise one day when you apply for credit, BAM there is a default from Baycorp because you ignored their calls and SMS. If they are claiming that you owe a debt that it not yours, you never lived there, never had that provider, there is a thing called disputing it because legally you don't have to pay anything thats not yours and Baycorp will get the evidence to prove it if you request it

Yes we got a letter saying if we pay now we get a 35% discount on an old electricity bill that we believed was settled after the sale of a relative's house. They asked for many personal details. The number they asked us to call was 1300 361 478. Who do we call for help now I'm worried they have my partner's personal details!

Yep got the same SMS on my phone. This is in addition to a message on my home voice mail!!

Same problem continuous calls blocked them then goes straight to Voicemail they try to ring on private number no message left several times a day now it's the urgent txt message to call Baycorp

A scam. They sent an sms from 0428 032 247 claiming to be Baycorp, offering a reduced settlement! For what?

Anyone want to waste their time replying to this SMS for me 😎
"Baycorp recently offered you a Reduced Settlement, we would like to extend this offer please call our office on 1300 361 478 or reply CALLME and we will call you. Ref#20008637016"

its a spam. they've been reported to ASIC. DO NOT ANSWER THESE CALLS PEOPLE.

Yep many calls from an unlisted number, leaves a 3 second silent message 3-4 times a day. Then I get same text message. Like I'm going to reply!! I entered my details for an online insurance company & I started gating all these nuisance harassing calls & emails. Do not call register doesn't do much! Talk about driving you mad!!!

Looking at other posts online - seems like when you call them they ask for your personal details to try to match u to a debt - and proceed to harass you via mail after you call & "confirm" your details.

I've not seen anyone recommend calling them thus far - seems like they abuse the concept of the "privacy act" before sharing any details with you - as they are in fact collecting your details.
