I get calls from this number on a regular basis, but I just ignore them. Having CND is very helpful, except that a lot of scammers are now using "Private" numbers. A message to Mr Scammer. Bugger off Caller: 9497 5375
I only picked up the phone because number showing was local/ Woman said she was from Hotel ?? Started waffling on I hung up
As usual I let it go to answering machine and then blocked the number - have a lot of blocked numbers but you can’t block the ‘private’ Ones. I too am on the do not call register doesn’t seem to help though. Caller: (08) 9497 5375
She wanted to know if anybody in the house was aged 51 or over
Starting doing a 3 minute survey on behalf of the Health and Wellness forum. After the first private question I declined. Haven't these people heard of (a) the DO NOT CALL register and (b) the privacy act. Do people really start telling them about their private medical history? Who are they? What happens to the information? Why is the Do Not Call register so ineffective? Caller: I didn't answer. Likely scammer.
Number called previously leaving impression it was an o/s scam caller.
For everyone getting spam calls from any number..... here is something I do. I have a Thunderbird whistle hanging over my wall phone. When I know for sure it is a spam call (have received quite a few and they hang up without leaving a message) I pick up the phone and immediately blow the whistle LOUD into the mouthpiece. Just a warning though, for you all.........make sure you hold the ear piece quite a distance away from your ear. I failed to do this the first time, and nearly deafened myself. Many years ago, I got some dirty, heavy breathing phone calls. A policeman told me to do this with the whistle. Good on him, great idea!! After a short delay with me saying "Hello, Hello?" a Chinese-sounding lady greeted me with "Hello Madam" (I'm a sir) and asked if I would conduct a short 3-minute survey about health matters. I politely declined. Female voice called today around 9.30am, when I asked ,where she had got my contact details from she hung up. Claimed to be from the Australian Health and Wellness Forum doing a survey. I said I'm on the "Do not call register" and he said I'm not selling anything. His accent was non Australian. I just hung up on him. Caller: Rang about 12.30pm
Person hung up when I asked to speak to supervisor to verify call
Caller: Health and Wellness Forum
Filipino woman from Health and Wellness Forum
I frequently get a call from this number too. Never leaves a message so I know its not a friend. Very annoying. Caller: A female with what sounded like a Philippino accent
Said she was from Australian Health and Wellness Forum doing a survey. Said the organisation was private but could not tell me who owned it. Kept pressing me to do the survey each time I asked her a question. I declined to do survey.
Have been receiving call from this number plus several others even PRIVATE number I do not answer but allow the answering machine to pick up and of course they hang up. To those people who have called the number back have you ever wonder how these scammers gain access to disconnected numbers? It's
crossed my mind that they are Telstra staff working in o'seas call centres.
Supposedly from Australian health and Wellness.Foreign female accent.
We get calls from this number all the time. They are a pain. No doubt it is scam call. Caller: Don’t know
Never left a message, happens same time every day,can they be stopped?
