Had this number saved on my phone display, came here to find out who the artists were, bang, same number, same scammers. Bug off!

Got a call from this number today, we've had this type of call before but it came up with a Sydney area code previously. I said "you've gotta be bloody joking, do you think I'm falling for that" and hung up!

A male Indian sounding man called today, my son answered as I was at the shops, saying someone had been in an accident. Scared the living daylights out of my son, who needed to know I was ok. Same as others, reached voice mail. Told my son he did the right thing in hanging up, as was some type of scam.

Called about an insurance claim to do with an accident we'd had. Indian sounding, knew our names, both our mobile numbers, when and where the accident occurred and who our insurer was. Scary. Rang our insurer to complain they suggested we ring ASIC.

The same as above had a message with a foreign man asking if I had had an accident in the last 12 months , I said no , he said are you sure you haven't had an accident and I said positive ,when I said positive instead of yes he hung up straight away . I said positive because I remember some scammers have been tapeing people saying yes then using my voice as for other means. the same number appeared on my phone as shown above in others comments

Answered the phone as "City Morgue" -- they couldn't hang up fast enough......

Usual Indian idiot thinking im off the last Banana Boat!! I told him i'd been killed in that accident but had managed to come back to life again and had a little conversation about, totally taking the piss out of him hahaha He said something like "pull the other one" . Bloody d*ckhead......

When is the LAW going to catch up with these faceless scammers. All we hear about is scams but not of any arrests. Scammer should be a dying species but it is not so, they are just a plague of heartless b###ards.

went to answer phone and the caller have relatives in SA (08 number) and the caller hung up. Then I checked the number with reverse australia. Genuine callers would leave a message. I use the answer phone to monitor genuine callers.

Heavy accent calling about motor vehicle accident. I always say I am calling Police and they hang up. So annoying as there is no way to stop these time wasters.

If the previous comments relate to numbers outside WA, it might be worth knowing that they are now phoning Perth numbers. Fortunately, we only saw it come up as a missed call.

got the call today , an old hag by voice barely able to hold two words together wanted to do an accident reporting research . All of a sudden I could hear plenty of people bursting in to her room, and the call was cut off ......maybe she was busted

Got the same call today. Number was visible in display so answered it. As above - vehicle accident. Told him no - goodbye. No way of blocking numbers on a landline but surely someone could trace it back to the source and tell them to stop?

Asian sounding voice said he was from accident investigation another scammer.

Called me re car accident. I told them that I drive a gopher and had an accident, but couldn't get anyone to fix it. They thought I meant a VW Golf(er). I managed to get them to hang up eventually when I told them that my son who works for the AFP had just arrived home and wanted to talk to them...... Total scam!!! Number really should be blocked by telcos.

Foreign female voice regarding motor vehicle accident. I have a paid silent number. She babbled some insurance company that I've never heard of. She was extremely persistent so I told her I knew she was a scammer and to go and get stuffed. So sick of them. I don't doubt that I will get more calls where they block their number usually at night & when I answer, they just hang up.

I keep getting these calls , so as I;m on holidays , i thought i waste his time .
He went on about saying i was owed $12,000 for a car accident, i made up a load
of BS to try and get as much as I could out of him. I told him i needed to get more
info from my office as i didn't have the info at home and would have to go into the office to get it , and i'd call him tomorrow. He then gave me the number (08) 6142 0427 to call him back. Obviously a CON ARTIST I informed SRB Legal in WA

Scammers -accident appreciation squad-told the to piss off and blocked them-the goverment should track these wankers down and prosecute them
