I called back number (08) 8423 0184 just kept on ringing no one answered the call and never got any voice mail.

Just missed a call from this number on my work phone,
saw this number on a different site some claiming its mitsubishi,
i live in rural NSW and do not drive a mitsubishi, so they have no reason to call me.

I believe this is to do with the Air Bag recall for those who haven't yet touched base and booked their car in.

Well I just got a call from them while I was busy No message left AND I don't own a Mitsubishi and I live in a different state. So somehting dodgy going one here

This is the Consumer Care area of Mitsubishi Australia. It is genuine. They called me when my service was due. Confirmed with my local dealer.

Same story as above - calls regularly - always ignored except once when noone there - obvious a scam but don't know what. Definitely not related to insurance I think as none of the above part of my profile. Hope I haven't been tagged for some other reason might check my mobile costs. Blocked now.

This number has called me randomly for the past few days. Some times once a day, some times twice to three times. I've let it go because I don't answer numbers I'm not sure of. Curiosity got the better of me and I answered it. It connected for two seconds then hung up. I rang it back and the same thing happened. I've now blocked it.

I can confirm this is Mitsubishi for the airbag recall. They've sent me multiple letters and I've spoken with them several times. Unfortunately they can't book me in on a weekend and I can't afford to take four hours off work.

Safe, people here don't think enough to know this recall stretches cars back to 1999, so you number may have been listed as an old vehicle owners number and they call the last detail.
