I returned a call from this number (08) 8261 2019 but no one answered

It’s a scammer who told me a family member had an accident. Total scam.

Scam calling about a fake accident insurance claim

I answered said hello, no reply then They hung up.

The caller knew my name and asked if I was in a car accident. When I said 'no', they asked if a family member had been in an accident. I said 'no' and they hung up. Very suspicious

Blocked it already but i recieved 2 calls from the number at work yesterday, and just again a minute ago. Noone i recognize so by default I don't answer numbers I don't know anyway unless I know I'm expecting a call. They don't leave a message so it's clearly not important

the guy said he was calling about my car accident...which I haven't had. I hung up and called the number back but it said the number was disconnected and please check the number and try again, which I did, same message. I wonder how these people can make calls on a number that is disconnected.

Scam caller about accident. Number showed to be here in South Australia ! Same person as everyone else.

Asked if myself or anyone in the family had an accident recently. I said no. The worrisome thing is he knew my name. Very suspect. Now they have confirmation that they can match my name to my phone number.

Have rung me 3 times in a week, whenever I answer they transfer me to someone else without saying anything. I was skeptical and asked what government department they work under and they couldn’t confirm. Asked me about any accidents I might have been in, I said I was in one last November but I wasn’t injured so nothing to be done and hung up. They just called back and said the at fault parties ctp insurer is ready to compensate me for injuries, I asked him what insurance company and he said sgic...I know that’s wrong so told him to piss off and hung up. Total scam.

Pushy indian man insisting he was calling about my recent car accident ( havnt had one). Told him to go away and hung up.

This is a scam regarding motor vehicle accidents. Told caller it was rubbish and hung up and number is now blocked. So annoying.

Called during business hours to my mobile number and said "I'd been in a car accident is that right". I said you got the wrong person and hung up and have now blocked that number.
