I have been baiting these guys for a while. I am fairly certain that they are based in Bangladesh, from their accent, background chatter and well, after having befriended one of the "agents". Definitely a scam.

Caller: Amazon Support

Same Phising call except Amazon support about a Gift Card. Clocked on to scam, said I had a GC to cancel & refund. need to install Team Viewer.. played along then said needed my wife to confirm. Could hear him salivating until i said she was an AFP officer. Don't understand why he hung up so quickly.. :-)

Said they were Amazon Prime, $249.99 will be debited etc.

$249.99 deduction same as other calls on here. Saying they were Amazon Prime

Absolute scam.
Had a call from (03) 5347 8332 with a robot saying that 299.99 will be debited from my account within the hour and to call (08) 7200 1045 to cancel the order.
Scary how it is done as people may actually fall for this.... have blocked the number

Registering here so maybe one day, these types of scammers can be banned/blocked, when pigs fly, unicorns roam freely, the sun rises in the west and sets in the east...

Caller: someone from an indian call centre

got the call yesterday. wanted me to install team viewer so that they can send me a link to cancel my "subscription" for $200 for ebay account. i did cause he sounded so pushy and kept saying otherwise my ebay account would be suspended etc luckily i didn't open the team viewer app. i kept asking him why i needed team viewer app. he couldn't answer properly and then he just hung up. i have uninstalled team viewer now

call to say i was charged $200 for i don't know what. its scam. how can they get through i really don't know.

Absolute scammers, tried to claim a "plan" had been renewed for $190 per month.

The lack of legislative support and the lack of action by Telstra is an absolute disgrace.

Same as everyone else.. got a call today to say someone had used my details on an ebay subscription purchase for $200, and that I needed to download Team Viewer app so they could then send a code thru, to cancel the subscription. Indian caller, of course. Lol... I hung up and reported to eBay.

Recorded message claiming to be from Netflix accounts department saying that my creditcard was being debited with $199. Press this button etc.etc.
I don't even have a netflix account.

Scam call, same thing about the account thing. Number blocked.
