The call is regarding your electricity bill with great big discount offer.

Operator has an accent from India, avoid answer or feel free to abuse them.

Very true I get these calls all the time at any time of the day , I just tell them that I've just killed someone and if they could help me get rid of the body and they hung up on me LOL don't know why

I'm sick to death of this BS.
GET A WHISTLE and as soon as you realise it's a scammer, blow the damn whistle in their ear. The more of us that do this, the more they'll get the message.

Had several calls now so have decided to answer with “hello Australian Federal Police “ now they hang up

Don’t blame the Indians blame the Australian businesses whom employ off shore to save on wage costs. The company asks simple questions regarding electricity/gas & if you actually took the time to listen they compare current deals against origin, agl etc.

They've called me 2 days in a row now and when I say Hi they quickly hang up.

I just don’t answer the calls for numbers I don’t know. I look them up on the internet to see who they are. Get these types of calls every day and I’m sick of it.

Energy prices crap, calling from numerous phone numbers and harrassing me!
other numbers to block are: (03) 9088 1710, (03) 8750 0201. They are all from the same company

Caller: I asked who they were and they said 9 People Saver

I went on 9 people saver website following a story by A Current Affair about getting a better electricity deal. I didn't leave my phone number or anything. Just looked through a couple of pages on the website. Within 10 mins l get a call from this number. They knew my name and l asked who they were and was told from 9 People Saver.
I asked how did they get my name and number when l didn't leave contact information on the website to request a call back.
At this point they hung up.
Its either a huge coincidence or somehow they are able to get my details from my web activity

Have been called 4 days in a row but when i call back an automated message says "hold the line, your call is important to us".
Have now blocked it

I'm sick of scammers ringing me under this and many other numbers. How do they get your number? Is a business selling their contact lists? If so, they should be criminally charged.

How much money are the telcos making with this crap, maybe they should be charged with invasion of privacy

They are very frequent callers. Tice today in under an hour.

New my name etc. when on about discounted electricity but didnt say their company name. I think the loud whistle blowing in the receiver sounds a good option to give these people. But I suppose they would have the hide to claim for industrial deafness !

This number phoned me and when I picked up, they just simply hung up before I could say anything. I’ve been told by friends that as soon as you pick up, you’re placed on a call list. Really annoying.
