Yes, there are companies with (ABN numbers) that onsell telemarketting phone lists. I have tracked one of those down and abused them too.

I totally agree! I answer sometimes as it might be extremely important, like a family emergency.

I called back mainly cause i have a passive aggressive need to hang up on scammers and unidentified call centre operators. Figure if you're a legitimate business you'll identify yourself when i call, sadly they did not. Overseas call centre.
Based on the above, the call was from the same people I've hung up on about 98 times already. They dont get the message even when your request to be removed from their listing is peppered with colourful use of language.

Just let it ring out. Had a sudden increase in dodgy calls (Moldova, Russia, Chile, India) and I don't know if its associated but there was attempts at logging into my Netflix account about 5 days after I set it up - they did get in as they changed my email address! Luckily Netflix security messages kept getting sent. However by the time I cancelled the account then they could've got my details. I guess this is the type of thing they do to get around the Do Not Call Register.

Didn't answer this call on my Mobile as I didn't recognise Number. Looks like a scam!

Hangs up when I answer - rang them back to find they were busy and an agent will take call asap - when call connected, they hung up - the number is now blocked

They didn't leave a message! I called the number after a reasonable time. I told the person in Good Anglo-Saxon English (Lots of naughty words :-) ) Never to call my number again. The person who answered might be Asian but I can assure you the message was understood :-)

Had a call about electricity and asked for me by name. Told him he had the wrong number as that person was not at the number he was ringing. How do these people get this information to ring you and ask for you by name. What happened to privacy legislation. No wonder society is so angry these days.

Got repeat calls from this number, answered today delay 3 seconds or so before connected. I have a hamster toy that repeats everything in broken English. The guy gabbled away at 100 miles per hour and my toy gabbled back, he didnt even notice it hahahaha till he had finished taking then waited for a response from me got the toy talking back instead and hung up, rang back again straight away gave him the same treatment I was silent, he hung up and rang back again so i declined the call and took great pleasure in adding the number to my block list on my mobile..

Answered this call at lunch time, was Veronica from compare energy with Indian accent. Rambled on about 40% discount blah blah, I said I’ve just switched companies and not interested, she kept talking I just hung up. Now 3 hours later they tried again. Think I’ll just answer my phone next time and walk away lol

Call centre. Indian accent - of course!! Scammers. Hung up and got call straight away from (07) 3123 4160. Hung up and got call straight away from (02) 8417 6026. All from the same scamming bast--ds!
