Claimed they were from "the telstra" (direct quote) and asked if i was having internet problems. I said it was such good timing because yes, i was having internet problems thank you so much for calling. He said he was going to take me through some steps and he would verify he was from the telstra... managed to keep him on the phone for four and a half minutes before finally telling him this was the most basic loserass scam id ever come across . Bastard hung up on me... i am never doing buisiness with "the tesltra" again

Said something about people using the internet then when I said I couldn't hear them over the background noise they hung up. Obviously a scam.

Said he was Telstra and there was a problem with the internet router, asked what I was using it for. I told him that I would contact Telstra to confirm the call and he said that I should do that every time I receive a call. He gave me a Telstra ID to quote and said me that he was the only one who could help with the issue and he would call back either tomorrow or the next day as he was going off shift in 10 to 15 minutes.

Got the usual internet problem call. Asked them if they were proud of their career choice - they hung up. I may of also told them to *uck off, but whatever they got the message again. Always have a speil ready for them. My next one is to ask them what type of special unit are they. This normally creates a giggle or reaction of some type. I don't get annoyed by the scammers, I have a bit of fun at their expense. Be careful not to say any words of affirmation, but cuss words are not off limits nor is anything else!

Try to fix my internet connection. and forced to open my laptop, but they not finished their work and keep calling now. I am not sure how much data they received from my laptop. so careful everyone.

An Indian guy rang claiming to be from Telstra Tech that our computer had been corrupted by unauthorised ip addresses. I said I’m busy right now, I’ll ring you back, he said what time would be convenient for us to ring. I said NO I ring you and he hung up.

Received call at 3.25pm today, answered no body there. Receiving calls 2 or 3 times daily. Complaints to the Minister, AFP, Telstra and others but they have failed to do anything and Telstra wonders why there business is going bad. They should start looking in their own backyard for the perpetrators as it takes people trained in telecom to know and to manipulate the phone systems. They have the equipment and personnel to do something about it bu the wont. Why not?
