Call came from this (Perth) number. Told me my ebay account was compromised due to a problem with my interject connection. I hung up and she called me back from a Melbourne number - (03) 7047 6900

Caller: Indian Telstra

Indian Telstra/nbn technician saying internet data speeds were very slow in my area and enquired about my internet service reliability. I said "what area do you mean?" And he said your area. I soon worked out that he had no idea of where I was, he was just phishing for a sucker. Then the obscene abuse started. A person relaxing at home should not have to put up with this.

Got a call from “PayPal” saying my account was compromised and someone was making a fraudulent purchase. They tried to get me to “update” my security details, and when I said “if you’re from PayPal can’t you just send a link to my connected email address so I can do this myself instead of doing it via a stranger over the phone?” And he called me a bitch and hung up :)

I can see people has started reporting this number since last year, that's a shame no action has been taken by our telecom to block this number!

Returned call and got recording that it was land foundation financial donations.

Hung up when call went to answer machine

I got a call from this number. As it is an unknown number I declined the call. A woman with Indian accent left a message for me to call her. I have blocked this number. Thanks for all the comments posted here

Did not answer. Could see it is from a Perth number so not going to be anyone I know. Blocked the number. Have had numerous calls like this over the past few days - seems to be escalating in frequency.

Caller: Some one saying they were from Paypal

Got called saying I needed to authorise a Paypal purchase for a gift card for $940. They gave me a choice of '1' to authorise, '2' to not and '3' to speak to Paypal. I did nothing and hung up immediately, checked my Paypal account and confirmed it was a scam attempt. BLOCK THIS NUMBER!

Called from Perth...just another number to report and delete...tiring!!!

A recorded voice said “Respected Customer” so I hung up and blocked the number.

Called with Perth number. Knew my name. Told me that a Russian hacker is using my number. My phone had an American IP as the hacker was in the US.
Told me to go into my preferred browser and started to tell me what to type, so that I could check the „location“ of my phone.
I hung up

Another who said he was from NBN. Sounded same as previous with name of Michael but this one was Sam. Told him so, and to f... off

answered said hello no response from the other end hung up...scum..

Scam caller spoke with foreign accent phishing for personal details

Declined the call from this number, immediately got a call from (03) 7067 6529, declined this one and immediately got a call from 0488 878 796, 3 calls within the space of a minute, they are obviously all connected, sick to death of scam calls, when is someone going to deal with these people who are the scum of the earth

Call showed up as a Perth number. Knew my name. Caller claims to be from Telstra internet department, about fluctuations in my internet service and they were working to fix the issue in my postcode. Hogwash - I’m not with Telstra

Called at 10.30am 8Feb24 recorded message " saying an unauthorised purchase of $900 in Crypto currency had been made on my Visa card " " press 1 to authorise or press 2 to decline" I hung up, i'm guessing if I pressed 2 I would have lost $900. SCAM CALL DO NOT ANSWER.

Caller: NBN Serviceman (allegedly)

Said he was calling from NBN. His Indian accent made understanding him very difficult. I asked him to call back when my husband is home. He said goodbye.
