Scam call - recorded message claiming to be from ANZ bank

Reverse number came up it’s someone trying to scam

Caller: Olivia - Commonwealth Bank - Automated

Automated voice: says they are Olivia from commonwealth bank, that a $1600 payment has been made on my card requiring me to confirm if this was me.

I hung up, blocked the number

Scan - Said they were anti-fraud department

Phone didn't ring. Phone company highlighted call was a potential fraud. No message left. have received many such calls from similar number commencing with (08) 625599 with only the last two numbers different. e.g. (08) 6255 9937; (08) 6255 9949. Please block.

This is a scam. Claimed to be from VISA Fraud Department. Said $1,000 charge made on my Visa card in California. Pretty easy to spot though - I don't have a Visa card!!

Called and I don’t know or deal with anyone in Perth so I rejected the call (they didn’t leave voicemail) and searched for the number and found all the comments here saying it’s a scam.

male voice sounded indian said they were from amazon and asked if i authorized a payment of $900 and something dollars because they have detected fraud - i hung up straight away then googled the number (Perth 08) number and found it was a scam

A person called claiming to be from ANZ Bank, calling about a potential fraud, saying an amount was just charged to my card, strangely though i had just used my card but for a much smaller amount legitimately. I rang ANZ myself, the bank officer said notes would be left on their system if they had actually called me, there were no notes. i have now blocked the call.

Thanks, Anonymous (posted on April 19, 2024). I've been getting calls from similar numbers too, just for the last few days. When I called back the line sounded disconnected. As a result, have blocked these numbers: (08) 6255 9949 and (08) 6255 9935.

Automated voice Calling themselves Brenda from ANZ wishing confirmation of a $1200 transaction in my name. Definite Scam. Block

Called advising from ANZ bank initially and then said to be Amazon fraud department, wanted me to screen share to block an apparent hacker and block a purchase on my Amazon account. Person finally hung up when I wouldn’t comply
