Yes, he said Australi Tax department.... LOL They are scammers trying to say you have an arrest warrant for tax evasion. They don't even know the proper name for the department they're pretending to be.

Sadly they "ghost" some legitimate number that is their phone system is designed to display a number even if they are not using it. For instance our work phone has 10 lines but all outgoing calls despite which line you use display our main number, in theory we could display any number we wanted. They have even been using the ATO's phone number.

I just received a phone call from this number saying the same information.

Robotic recording claiming to be from Services Australia saying my tax number had been suspended

Got a call from this number as soon as I asked about debt and where it had come from they hung up, I tried calling them back and they kept hanging up on me

Same as others, robotic recording stating my tax number was suspended (hahahahhahahah) and ATO have a warrant for my arrest and if i don't want to be arrested push 1 to proceed. SCAM. Have reporting to ATO.

Rang either late at night or very early as I had a missed call at 6.15AM when I turned my phone on

Hung up as soon as I answered and then the call failed when I tried to call back.

Seem liked a scam - the guy answered and said he was calling from investigation of division of Australia and gave me a Batch ID (batch 85510). but when i asked further questions the line disconnected. very STRANGE AND WEIRD!

Had a missed call form this number today and they didn't leave a voicemail message... wasn't expecting a call from Perth WA so I thought I'd search for the number to find out who it might be... glad I found this page.

Didn't call back and blocked the number.

Tax file number has been suspended and I will be taken to court - press 1

The number is claimed to be based in Perth.

Robot voice saying it was Services Australia and something about my TFN.
Attempted to call back and reported that the number could not be reached.

I missed the call but when tried to call back disconnects without dialling

Voice recording said services Australia.... and my tax account had been closed????? Scam i thought and hung up!
