Caller: Probably scammers

An American automated voice said they were doing a survey and "if you're a registered Democrat, press 1. If you're a registered Republican, press 2... etc." It is most likely a scam that just wants you to press a number to access your phone.

But I would be slightly amused if it were a genuine survey to find Trump supporters and they got it wrong by 15000km.

Pretended to be from eBay and wanted to get my card details to cancel an eBay order

A dodgy saying my partner bought a gift card from Ebay in China, he does not have an ebay account and we have no idea how they got his number. They were rude and abusive and accused him of being a scammer and would call the victoria police.
I hope an authority is reading this as they do not publish there phone numbers for assistance and I am not wasting time writing emails

Caller: Some kind of scam

Same as the above post. Got a call from an automated system saying I had a parcel and $299 coming out of my account. Told me if I didn't want this amount debited to press 1 or to call a number. Seems to be a lot of fake parcel scams going around at the moment.

An automated message stating that $299 will be deducted out of my account. Did not order anything. Stated I would have to call back if I did not order anything. I did not call back of course

No message, rang them and the caller was very rude and hung up on me - I asked the name of the company but couldn't understand him (thick Indian accent). Sounds like he had a tribe of young children in the background.

Caller: An Indian/Pakistani/Bangladeshi

Claimed to be from Ebay telling me that someone had set up a fake account using my phone number and was using it to buy gift cards on Ebay.

When I asked him to send me an email he said he didn't have time as the scam was being perpetrated right now and there was no time to lose. I then asked him what my Ebay username is.

At this point, the line went dead.

Caller: Ebay

Said i had ordered a product if i did want it to dial certain numbers as money would come out of my account have not used ebay so deleted it

Recorded message from Ebay saying a debit from my account of $299.99 was going to come out. The message gave a number to call but I didn't get it all down. Suspect this is a scam call.

Yes exactly the same just happened today from this number

Recorded message saying I had placed an order and would be debited $299.00 I have not purchased anything online, so suspect its some sort of scam.

Recorded message supposedly from eBay saying they were about to debit my account. I have blocked this number.
