Came up on my phone as Rural Fire Brigades Association Queensland.
After googling them, I've noted that there they are different to Rural Fire Service Queensland.

HOWEVER, the Rural Fire Brigades Association Queensland's displayed number on their website is (07) 5480 5130
While I'm aware that organisations can have more than one number, I believe they should display this on their website otherwise it's just cause for questioning.
I'm also aware that just because a number displays as a particular organisation on smart phones, that doesn't mean they are from that specific place. For e.g., my local Terry White Chemist displays on my phone as Target, and they're not even in the same building.
So, I wouldn't trust this at all. Blocked. I wouldn't trust them.

Got a call today from this number which is apparently a Qld fire brigade. Wondering why they'd be calling me considering I'm in WA? I say it's a scam!

Telemarketing is still telemarketing interrupting people at bad times. It is 100% unacceptable. If the QLD rural fire department is underfunded then instead of harassing random people for $$$ they should direct their calls and efforts to the QLD Government to solicit and lobby for adequate funding. How muc money is wasted on paying telemarketers and the companies they contract that could be going towards their needs instead?

My phone NEVER actually rings. I just get a message stating the above number has called me. So bloody annoying

They call and don't speak. After 30 seconds they hang up!!! They call me once a week on average...

This is not a scam! This is the number for the Rural Fire Brigade Association Queensland. It is genuine. They are aware that some people have tagged it as a scam , however they cannot do anything about that.

Did not recognise the number so did not answer. Caller did not leave a message. Blocked and deleted

Call came through from this number today whilst I was talking to someone. Went to message bank. Message left was a woman whispering "you effing bitch". The location for the number on screen was Gympie.

I keep getting regular calls from this number and I have blocked it! It still shows up in my missed calls list but at least they can't get through anymore.

Received two silent calls in two days. Presumed scammers. Even if this is from a legitimate organization, why on earth would you still use cold call methods for fund raising in this day and age with scammers running wild?
