Probably raising funds for more beer. WAKE UP. No one wants to donate over the phone. Try door to door.

Had a phone call from this # this morning, invariably wanting a donation. I responded that I don't donate to begging phone calls and that I donate when I can to my local bushies from my pension. I had a curt "Have a nice day" followed by a hang up. These type of calls are very annoying!

Seeing as I live in FNQ - I would prefer to donate to my local fire brigade and not the fire brigade in SEQLD. And even in saying that, why does this charity - out of all the other charities - do they constantly phone and then hang-up? I've tried contacting them to say I do not want to donate to them and all goes quiet for a few months but then the constant harrasment of calls start up again. If this is a legit charity - use a better (and friendlier) call service to ask for donations. You catch more flies with honey than vinegar ... as they say.

We gave them a donation once. The local Bush Fire Brigade is the ones that I suport.
We told them not to bother phoning us, because they would not arrive if we had a fire. The local Brigade would.

Been contacted a few times by the RFBQA. I always tell them that I’m not interested all the time, yet they still call my number. I feel like at this point, I’m going to be telling them that my number is listed on the “Do Not Call Registry”

Caller: Fake RFBAQ

These people claiming to be RFB fund raisers are scammers. This was drilled into us when joining the RFB, that there is no legit cold-calling center for RFB donations. The money you donate does not go to the RFB as RFB gets their money through local levies and brigade-driven fundraising events. Do not donate to these cold-callers. Never give your credit card details to anyone over the phone, especially if they called you.

Unusually they called my mobile number of many decades via Skype? It's genuine but I didn't have time to stay on the line. Their supervisor/ Coach was pressing them a bit hard to stay on the line to secure the sale as they usually won't do call backs. I said call back and gave my full name? I don't like giving c/cards over the phone to any organisation or business period.

Caller: I no longer answer calls unless one of my contacts

Got a call and forgot too answer it 🙃😅😏🤭 sounds like was the correct plan as going by what read was a phish/scam call anyway 🤨🤬🥵🤷‍♂️ seems becoming a habit of mine now as 99.99% calls get are now anyway as do most my "calls" telegram or messenger anyway 😀😄😆😅🤣😂🤭

Didn't know the number an wasn't expecting a call at the same time so no idea nor information who the heck is 🤔🫠🫣😵‍💫😳🤷‍♂️🤦‍♂️ probably a good idea if don't know or give a freaking dam, then don't answer nor give a sh*t 😉😋😏🫣😅🤣😂🤭

I just received a call from this number. Whenever I get a call from QLD unknown number, I just accept the call but never say anything. Just silent.
Scammer will hung up. This works 100% so far. Then, block the number.
