The number listed on the RFBAQ site in the "scammer" information is to show those with caller ID the number if it is actually RFBAQ calling. This is there number not the scammers.

This number continues to harrass and harrass. I dont care either if they are from the rural fire brigade. they should show some common sense and stop being so rude and abusing their position. You dont ring people 247, hang up and never say anything. they are disturbing everyones peace. Why do they act like some 3rd world scammer. If they are the professionals they are supposed to be then why not act like.

Just had call at 7pm. This is not from rural fire brigade it is a scam as per the rural fire bridges own website. This number is pretending to be selling tickets in there fundraising however you never get the tickets. Lesson. Don't give your credit card to anyone over the phone ask for a brochure to be sent out or after the call check out the light webpage.

They are still at it. Why would anyone give their credit card details to a complete stranger on the other end of the line. People wonder why they get ripped off.

I received multiple calls on my mobile. When I get one like that I simple enter the number as a contact under a heading of F*%king Scammer or similar so that when they try again I know not to accept the call.

If its' the RFB, it'd be nice if they said something after I've stopped my noisy machinery and dug out my phone from under my winter woolies to answer their their call.

Get your facts straight. Only some councils collect levies, and even then it's no where near enough to cover everything a brigade does. I can only assume your brigade is very inactive...

Yep - same deal as many others. Rings at dinner time then hangs up when someone answers. Not the right people to be using if you want people to donate to a worthwhile cause. Unacceptable!

Simply incorrect. Perhaps some intelligent fact checking is requiring? Only some brigades get funding from local councils.

The problem isn't what the fund raising is for, the problem is that it's a scam and they have nothing to do with the cause.
