Just went on Compare the Market....got a hit from ING....I'd say its either them or Budget Direct looking to deal direct and cut the opposition. Budget Direct offer not cheap car insurance but crap insurance...

Like many of the others, I had just done a Budget Direct insurance quote and then got this call. Quick way to repel a potential customer, that's for sure. I blocked the number and the quote is straight into the Trash.

just did a online quote with budget direct - then got a "missed call" from this number - voicemail left with just music - quote was way more than others anyway - so I will be blocking this as well

Called from early hours on a Saturday 4 times and said nothing couldn’t even hear background noise

We insured with them last year and upon the renew coming up, I searched around and went with a cheaper provider. As a result, I ignored their email from them advising that we needed to renew our insurance as I had already taken out a policy (and paid for it) with someone else. I then get an SMS from Budget direct advising that my insurance has now been renewed and the funds will be taken out !!!!!!! If you read their renewal notice, it states that if you do not contact them back, they AUTO RENEW your policy. I found that just sneaky (to put it VERY nicely), so as a result won't be using them again - even if they are the cheapest !

This number is Auto & General Insurance. If you have just done an online quote with ING or Budget Direct or any other brand name underwritten by A&G they are calling to follow up.

(07) 3465 1300 called my phone and I answered. I did a couple of online quotes for insurance with Budget a few days ago then today the first time this number showed up I answered and got music.Second time it rang I answered and nothing on their end.
I rang it back and got a message from Auto and General Insurance saying they tried to call but their call was unanswered which is bullkrap and the message also said they may try to call me again.
If they do I will make a point of calling Budget and letting them know I consider it harassment.

I picked the call, no body on the other side just a crap music.

Unknown caller immediately after doing an on-line quote for Budget Direct car insurance.
They hung up when I asked who was there.

As the above have mentioned, recently did an insurance quote with Budget Direct, I dare say it's those guys. They don't know how to take a hint!

2nd Call, a well spoken Indian Lady initially, but left a garbled message to ring back.
I have recently attempted to get online car insurance quotes.

Requested an on line quote on Budget Direct Insurance to simply do a comparison quote only to receive a call 5 minutes later to listen to some crappy hold music playing.

Called 8 times in 4 minutes. Each time hanging up when I answer. I have a policy with Budget Direct but if they're calling me, I'd assume they want to speak with me.
