Caller: Indian Scammer Call Centre Scammers claiming you had an accident and you are entitled to a $20,000 payout for free. They want your bank account and personal details as it's fake. They have no information on you until you give it to them. Don't give them any info, just hang up and block the number. They are targeting Australia because they can scam a lot of money from gullible people. Blocking their numbers won't stop them as they just use another number. I have had 4 different call numbers in 7 days. They rent 100's of unused numbers from the internet for a week or so that appear to be locally from your state. They make millions of dollars a week from innocent people. Don't be one of them!!!!

Scammer rang claiming he was contacting me about a car crash I had been in. I haven't been in any. Why can't Telstra ban these pricks from even getting phone numbers? It should be a privilege to get a phone number.

Was first called on 16/02/2021 and then on 22/02/2021 via (07) 3390 3333. Called again on 25/02/2021 from (07) 3390 6666. Once again, appeared to be of a VoIP line quality and not actually a local call centre. Calling the number back results in a "number not connected" message so they are clearly masking their number.
Caller was asking about a car accident within the last year. Pretty broad timeline. They asked about the claim and if I was at fault and injured in the accident. They also wanted to know when the accident occurred.
I proceeded to give some fake details and said I did injure myself and their immediate response was if I would like to make a claim and how much I want. I stopped when they asked for my address and I called them out on their scam and the caller immediately started yelling profanities back to me before hanging up.

Another call that doesn’t leave a message. If it was genuine they would leave a message. Tossers.

Caller: Scam call Scam call.
All of my family have received at least one or two calls from these guys. Heavy accented callers (very easy to identify the caller's national background), reading a script and not answering any questions, just going by a script like a robot.
Using several different numbers to call from too.
Caller was asking if I had any car accidents. Then asking about a claim and if I was at fault and injured in the accident. Pretty dodgy asking for personal info, but not saying where they are calling from or what company they represent.

Caller: Don’t Know Wanted to talk about my car accident. I asked which one? The caller was obviously a trained monkey with an understandable accent but a limited command of words. When the caller could not understand my questions she hung up. I won’t give my name.

I also have received several calls from this number in Feb 2021. No messages ever left and when I call back the number a message says "the number is NOT connected". Clearly a scam.

Same for me, just received a call trying to get some information from me with the prospect of being able to claim money for personal injuries. They hang up when I continued requesting information from them. I had been in an accident a while ago but they didn't have any information about it. He tried to tell me he is calling from the green slip insurer but I didn't fall for it.
