"I just do not answer the phone to ANYONE these days - if it's important, they'll leave a message; if they don't, I don't want to know!"

I do exactly the same - those who know me, know how to contact me.
But WHY do we have to put up with these vermin ???
They never cease, DESPITE being on the DNC register.

It's way past time there was more EFFECTIVE protection.

Thank you Reverse Australia, for enabling me to add this number to my 'blocked' list.

I'm getting so sick of blocking numbers on my mobile. I never answer numbers I don't know and figure they will leave a message if they genuinely want to contact me. I just wish I could block them on my landline as well. They Always seem to ring later in the day, especially around dinner time. So annoying because I have to get up and check just to see an unknown number.

I have been getting hangup calls from this number both on my landline ( which is a silent number and which I pay for) and my mobile. As well as this number there are the following numbers as well: (08) 6558 0592 - (02) 8015 2270 - (07) 3180 1629. All doing the same thing - as soon as you answer they hang up. Time to make a complaint to the telecommunications ombudsman I think

Bloody nuisance! Do not call registar a waste of time. About time the polies were made to put their home nos on display and getting these calls then they might do something about it.

Our phones instead of being an item of convience for us have also become an item to be used against us which is just wrong on every level. Sadly now when our phones ring we either don't want to answer or don't answer because they have become an item of harassment in our own homes causing not only inconvenience but also anxiety. This should not be allowed.

I do the same thing Paul...stay silent util someone on the other end speaks. If it is an automated call, it hangs up if it doesn't detect a voice within a certain time. I wish with the DNCR, that you could opt out of political calls, surveys and charities. I wonders why I was getting so many charities calling. I did a little research and discovered that the one company was behind them all. Seems it is a business that sells tickets on behalf of a number of charities. Seems a bit of a grey area...is it an unsolicited call from a business or a charity? Does buying a ticket from one charity constitute a pre existing commercial relationship with all the other represented charities, or the umbrella sales company?

Because the f%$#ing government make money out of it. Another good reason to make sure you vote - whoever they are, vote them OUT!

Call the 1800 427 706 number, select support and tell them they are making an illegal call as you are on the DNC. I am lodging a complaint with the register. It is obvious from the framing of the question who is subscribed to this survey
