i bought a call blocker from england and i keep adding these numbers to it to be blocked, as Telstra has no means in our service to call block unwanted numbers, and it seems that the do not call registration does not work

Just had a call from an Indian woman wanting to talk about solar panels. I told her I was not interested and hung up. She called straight back (same woman), and said she wasn't trying to sell me anything. I shouted at her that I was not interested and if she called again I would notify the police. She hasn't called back. This was about 10 minutes ago.

Just answered a call from the above number.
I stated that we use a diesel generator.
His reply so you are on the grid, how much do you pay for electricity?
I returned with It's a 6RA1 Isuzu diesel engine and if you have a water pump and a set of heads I would be interested.

Just proves the fact that they just do not listen.

Yesterday we had 3 calls on this... for the month 6 calls. All asking about solar rebate. knows our name as well, always says Hello Mrs... or Hello Mr... depending on who answers the phone. Always on our land line that is listed in the phone book! Sick of it. We let them go on once and they ultimately wanted to come and inspect our panels. We didn't let them get past that. We were sure the next thing would be asking for a credit card!!!!!!

Apparently it was "Stephen" (had an Indian accent), he actually asked for me by my surname which was a bit scary! I asked him politely what he wanted. He said he was calling about the Solar Rebate. I said to him that our number is on the DNC register. He asked what that was. After I mentioned that it's illegal for him to call me he said he'd remove my number from their list and he apologised for bothering me. We shall see! Seems like I'm getting 3 or 4 calls a day again from various overseas scammers! NOT HAPPY!! Not sure why the DNC register doesn't seem to be working again! grrr

So sick of this number ringing us. Have told them not to call again.

Have had a few calls from this or similar numbers about Solar, I have hung up, left the phone beside my running sewing machine, this time some one spoke and then hung up. You can tell them are calling from overseas as there is a delay before they start to talk.

Someone called asking to speak to their girlfriend who had a 'sexy figure'.....must be bored of scamming solar panels today...

i have to say in all honesty i did answer a request concerning solar panels but i only wanted an online quote i probably inadvertantly gave them my number and they said first of they were based in brisbane i did ask them not to a call but they have also rang me on my mobile which i have not given them

all i wanted was an online quote but i have had numerous calls from them when i have told them i am no longer interested an idian voice both male and female any time of the day and nighr even called me at 7.45pm as i was going to bed i am sick and tired of them calling

The 07 number is computer generated,
they are probably based overseas thus not subject to penalties under the do not call register,
the call centre has a computer dial numbers in sequence, thus even if it is "Private", the computer will dial a number
if all the call centre staff are busy, they don't respond if you pick it up,
the call is sent to an operator only if you pick it up, thus no message is left.

I program our cordless phone to play "waltzing Matilda" for all spammers subsequent calls.

As soon as I said we are the no call register she hung up. Solar wasters.

Foreign accent. Called just as I was about to eat lunch. Knew my name. Wanted to talk about solar rebates. Reluctant to give her name. Claimed not to be selling anything. I have an unlisted number and am on the 'Don't call me register ' because I don't want unsolicited calls from unknown sources but still get these nuisance calls.

Just another waste of time caller.

Sounds like they have moved on from Solar Panels....this number called knew my surname (and yes we have a private number)....Accent also but not German "Hello Mrs ......it's Adolf Hitler" Me: "Oh really.....let me call you back"...To which he replied "Don't be afraid !!

Same thing, calls, doesn't speak, hung up on them.

Get calls from this number at least a couple of times per week on a home landline, never answer it.

Grubs just call & hang up, so much for the "do not call register"
