Caller: WWF International

Others reported called is from Amnesty. Mine was someone claiming to be external consultant working for WWF and asked for donation through the phone, and my credit card details.
When asked to provide email confirmation the caller wouldn't.

Deinitely con - do not be fooled.

Have been getting calls from them about once to twice a day but when I answer it is dead quiet. I tried calling them back it says it’s RSPCA

Glad I looked up the number, looks like they now claim to be RSPCA Queensland (previous reports say Amnesty). They've called 8 times, I called back once but didn't speak to anyone, an automated message plays and then the call disconnects. Unfortunate that they're using a charitable organisation's name for some sort of scam.

Caller: Karl

Claimed to be someone called Karl and representing WWF, requested credit card donation but could not send details over email to confirm. Best policy to practise: never ever handover credit card details over phone.

RSPCA

Calling everyday, sometimes a couple of times but I always missed the calls. Calls came as late as 5:30 and 7pm so I knew it wasn't an Australian business. I don't call back if the caller doesn't leave a message. I felt strange so I checked here and sure enough, the same for many others. Just report & block this number.

It’s Amnesty International. Rings off 0488 829 910. Meant to be a charity but has been ringing me everyday this week at RIDICULOUS hours of the day/night. Not sure how they got my number.

They've called me 10 times in the last few weeks. I've not picked up once but they keep calling :(

The number called me claiming to be amnesty international. They knew my first and last name and which online protest i signed up for. I called amnesty international directly after and they said it should be them.

Caller: Unsure, however same number as quoted in these comments.

Thank you very much for putting your explanation here. It's really sad to know these "scammers" use important companies that are desperately needed! Stopping charities from the help they so very badly need. Is there anywhere to make a complaint about this, please?

Calls several times a day. People, TO PLEASE JUST DO NOT ANSWER ANY NUMBER YOU DON'T KNOW. MY MUM WAS RECENTLY SCAMMED JUST BY "TALKING" ON THE LINE FOR TOO LONG. TOOK HER WEEK'S TO GET BACK HER $600 PLUS RETURNED TO HER ACCOUNT!!

They have called me 6 times this week! Sometimes one after the other when I am at work. I answered before and messed with them to see if theyd get the hint but no! Still continued. Considering blocking them what a waste of time.

Ringing multiple times per day. No message left. Have blocked the number after reading these comments.

These guys called me too, whenever I hear a foreign accent I hang up and immediately block their number. Even though they’ve been blocked for a few weeks now I still get their calls (missed call service). It’s so annoying to have to deal with these scammers!

They call every day

OMG they are calling me MULTIPLE TIMES EVERYDAY! It's just harassment! I've already blocked the number and I feel they are trying to reach me on a new number now. 2-3 times a day for the last 2 weeks! It's insane!!!!

Pretty sure this is a scam number pretending to be Amnesty.

I've been a member of Amnesty International in the past and they've not once ever called me. They used to send calls to action by mail, and then by email.
