Caller: Surge Direct

Caller claimed to be from Surge Direct calling on behalf of Amnesty International as I had recently donated to them and they were seeking further donation over the phone. I did not feel comfortable providing my card details over the phone, however, Amnesty International do have Surge Direct listed as one of their donation partners on their own website.

Supposedly amnesty international. If you want to donate go
to their website instead I think this is a scam.

They’ve been calling be 20 times the past year it seems like they do not give up

Recieved call from them earlier today, wanted my bank details over the phone which is unethical. Asked for website failed to provide anything and he eventually hung up very suspicious..

Got a call from this number on Wednesday 24th April 2024 at 3:20pm. Got a call again today (Monday 20th May 2024) at 3:20pm again. I have missed both calls but this number is very suspicious and malicious.

But what I don't understand is how they already know my name when they call , if Ive not given it out to them previously???? That's a bit intrusive for me.

This number constantly calls me every day. Spammed & blocked is one way you can stop them from calling 👍🏼

Called me twice in a day, leave no voice mail to follow up. Once answered, they’re asking for a “donation” — also asking for our bank details by phone.

This number has called me 3 times in March. I haven't answered and they never leave a message.

I believe Amnesty was hacked done time back and previous donor details sold by hackers to the scammers.

Endless calls. Multiple calls a day. Never stops. So infuriating.

This number has called me minimum twice daily for MONTHS and I have never once answered!!! I cannot get them to stop I have blocked the number and they still call me twice daily, I receive missed call messages constantly even though they have been blocked. Never been so irritated by a number in my life I never signed up for so many calls like this it is absolutely insane

Have tired to call me 15 times in the past few weeks read the comments will be blocking 🚫

This number called me like more than 10 times. I've never answered. So strange. I'm gonna block this number now

Definitely Amnesty wanting a one off donation or monthly debits from your bank account.

Since the beginning of march this number has called me every 3 days. Around mid-march they started calling me every day without leaving a message. I haven’t called back, but I’m glad I checked on here. Seems like they just wanna get your bank details under the pretense that they are from amnesty international. Just block their number x

Called me every day. When I called back, the machine made a voice. Scam call sure and blocked.

This number has called me serveral times the past few weeks. When I have answered they hang up. When I’ve missed the calls , no voicemails have been left. Very annoying.

This number called 1 time on Monday, 2 times on Tuesday, 1 time on Wednesday which I had answered and some lady came on but I hung up as I hadn’t recognised voice, and then again later that night but I had ignored the call, and again today thursday. I answered again to tell them to lose my number yet no one spoke and I could only hear background noise. I hung up and then texted saying who tf are they and what tf they want.
