Extremely annoying as you block one number and then they call from another one.

they rang and i answered .. important survey then a quote for insurance i repeatedly told the dude not interested catch ya later please dont call again then two days later they call again i just hang up on them .. fricken annoying . my number is supposed to be private

I tried to get more poker chips to play zynga it led me to a tube site which said if I answer a few questions I will get an amount of chips free (so beware it’s a scam) next thing I know I’m getting all these calls from marketing places trying to sell their products so I just keep blocking them. They have lots of numbers starting with 0488

So far I have received (& blocked) calls from these numbers. Never answered a call from them, and never will.

same as above , many calls from 0488 #s, I don't answer any but keep coming through. Keep blocking until all blocked (I hope)

Received about 5 of these over the last 48 hours. All starting with 0488 801 ... and varying last 3 digits.
I generally answer with my name and noticed that it wasn't until I said something that the call disconnected.
Most recently, I tried "hello" and a dialler connected me immediately to a chap demanding answers for an "important survey".
you can guess the rest.

this number is span and any number starting with 0488801 are spams

Had 3 calls so far today, 0488 801 183, 1169 and 1153. Each time no one talks just hang up

yep thats what I got too!

I keep missing this call, every time I try to call back I get a message saying “Optus advises this number has been disconnected” even if I try to call them straight after they call. Some days I miss 1 call from them other I miss several.

Some type of scam, first of all the people should try and learn some etiquette, and also most importantly how to speak English.

I called back number 0488 801 153 reached IVR for a company called Let's Insure.
