I returned a call from 0480 090 089 but reached vm for Amy Recoveries Group

Called my work mobile phone, did not pick up & googled the number. thanks everyone's post here :)

Hung up when I answered. After reading the above, blocked.

As previously stated, many of us run businesses & there's no way of knowing if an incoming call is a spammer or a customer!!!

Why answer if you don't know the number? The only way the scammers business model works is by people answering calls that are unknown to them. If no one answered these calls, scammers would go out of business. The technology is available - mobile phones store numbers with names and can block out repeated unwanted callers. It is simple - don't answer. If you don't answer a number you don't know and it is a legitimate caller, they will leave a message and you can call back. Why should the government do anything when the solution is in your hands. DO NOT ANSWER!!

You must live in a very small world if you know the numbers of all the people that call you.

Had a missed call from this number, not in my contacts, did not leave a message so I'm guessing from the existing comments here that this is a scammer. Will block.

This debt recovery company, in contacting people to offer their services are simply a nuisance call at best and bloody aggravating too, in being an unsolicited call to a number on the Do Not Call Register in my case!

It looks like they’re starting up their harassing phone calls again!

Called me 3 times, I don’t answer these calls if I don’t know the number. I have blocked the number but the keep calling sick and tired of these people.

Came up suspected spam, didnt answer. read comments, i know im behind in a few thigns- but not DEBT track me down, so ill leave it for now.

I have 722 contacts on my phone. If it’s not from one of those I don’t answer. My world is large and no time for time wasting calls.

CLAIMED THERE WAS A PROBLEM WITH MY INTERNET SPEED - THEY ARE GOING TO UPGRADE MY NBN CONNECTION TO FIX IT - SAID TECHNICIANS WOULD BE HERE IN 2-3 DAYS TO FIX TO FIBRE OPTIC BUT WANTED TO DOWNLOAD SOFTWARE AND ASKED ME TO GOOGLE A WEBSITE. I REFUSED.
THEY CALLED BACK AND PERSISTED SO HUNG UP AGAIN
