Had a call from this number today, polite woman with accent claiming to be from some kind of debt recovery place & offering their services to me.Couldn't really understand her so I just no thanks & hung up.

Nuisance telemarketer

Received a call from Amy Recovery debt collectors, I told her I don’t have debt and she said if I don’t trust her over the phone she could email me the paperwork. She then read out my email address 😳. I came straight here to check the number

Rang number back from work phone so I couldn't be ID from them. When answered I asked what company they were with and they immediately hung up.

Went to voicemail. 7 sec message. 5 secs of silence followed by an Asian accent saying hello then hang up.

Supposedly Debt collectors on Gold Coast but filipino on phone said she was located in filipines, telemarketers, blocked

My Telstra phone has a block number button. I use it instantly on all unknown numbers. Since the number is recorded on the call list I check reverse australia if the call is legit and can unlock if necessary. Never happened yet.

Not if it's a potential business call through your business mobile. You pick up all calls.

Anyways I did pick up and they hung up immediately.

Unsolicited phone call. Although I'm a small home-based business I'm on the DO NOT CALL REGISTER... some telemarketers don't seem to understand this! BTW if you're running a business YOU HAVE TO ANSWER an unrecognised phone number BECAUSE it may be a customer... why do people (i.e. politicians) not understand this?

To aid me in blocking such numbers to my home/business phone, I simply divert all calls to the mobile (I have free phone calls to mobiles so it costs me nothing to do this).... I can see if they are in the contacts list and easy block the number if necessary!

Maybe when you run a business you answer the calls as it could be someone responding to your marketing.

I run a business and cannot afford to not answer every call that I don't recognize. Many people will not leave a message and call someone else.
