rang to confirm i had ordered two items from amazon. I said no, person got angry. another scammer.

He said I am from Amazon and found a suspicious order from your card he told me the first four digits of my card number and last four but wants me to give him the rest of number to confirm I said if you have the full number then tell me the whole number I will say yes or no even he knew my email and living address

They seem to get better every time after a little discussion the lady put her supervisor on
they asked did my visa card start with xxxx I said no then they asked does it start with xxx .I laughed then they hung up

Pretended to have unauthorised activity on my Amazon account

They called saying they were Amazon and that an order I had made (I hadn’t made one) was suspicious and tried to ask a bunch of other questions about an account that I didn’t have and never had

Called said he was from Amazon fraud department and that someone tried to make a purchase of Apple Mac laptop in cost of $1800 from my account. Asked if I made purchase I said no obviously. Then he provided me with my name address and email address to confirm my identity. While on the phone to him he said he wanted to send me a One Time Pin - OTP to my phone as a text message to let me know he really does work for Amazon. When I provided him with the Pin, he was able to change the password of my Amazon account to lock me out of it basically. He confirmed my previous purchase from 3 days ago to further confirm that he worked for Amazon. He gave me the last 4 digits of my credit card and expiry date and I only because sus when he asked me to confirm the full number of my card. That’s when I went online and tried to access my Amazon account and couldn’t as he had changed the password. So I reset using I lost my password and received an email to reset it while I was on the phone telling the purchase hadn’t been taken off my credit card. When I did this I was able to cancel the purchase and add a 2 step identification. I hung up on him and called my bank to cancel my cards and resend new ones and then spent the next 3 hours on the phone to the bank and while I was on hold, changed at least 100 of my passwords to very strong ones.

They said they're calling from Amazon. They're f*cking wasting my time!!!! They had my personal details. They asked for my card details but I asked him why do you need that? Then he lost his patient. 100% scam call

Had a call from this guy, said his name was Bruce from Amazon and wanted me to give him the OTP sent to my phone so that he could cancel the 5K purchase for me. I told him to piss off (actually I said worse) and I now have him in my contacts under "Fraud Guy".

Some type of fake call. Rang back and no answer.

Caller: Claimed to call from Amazon

This was a likely scam call as they claimed my most recent purchase was an iPad. Also, the called me on a number that is not linked to an Amazon account.

She said she was from Amazon and referred to a purchase last night for a laptop. I said I didn't order a laptop and hung up. She rang me back questioning me of why I hung up on her. Gave me a four digit code, then another code which I was to tell her. Said she needed to cancel the order as it was on my account and wanted my name. I told her know and stated this was a scam call and hung up. She rang me back a couple more times which I declined and hopefully she has stopped now.

Comes up as suspected fraud. When you call back the dial tone sounds very crackly and none picks up and does not state what company. Likely scam
