This is the phone number given by a scammer with the pseudonym of "Craig Hart" and an email address of Craig Hart <craighart @ ozengineer.net>. He is trying to sell a car not owned by him with the pretext of being Power of Attorney and being too busy to sell in person. He wants to sell the car using eBay's Money Back guarantee, from a remote location in Australia without the buyer inspecting the car first! (And delivered anywhere in Australia for no extra charge!) The price for the car is about $10,000 under its expected value

Firstly the car was listed well below the market value, listed in Glen Waverley, then when asked for an inspection, was in Mildura and he was too busy to have inspections because he works 7 days. Then sends multiple length emails talking about how he needs the car sold asap, but will only accept an Ebay sale because of its Money Back guarantee (suss) and is welcome to organising an inspection after the payment has been made if we wanted, all the while 'guaranteeing' that the car is as described ...although not allowing inspections before sale. 100% Scam.

He is now trying to sell a 2001 Winnebago Freeway Ford Transit. Via eBay, knew something was up as soon as I saw the long winded email explanation. Using email address garynotley @ outlook.com.au and phone number 0485 861 927.
Listed the vehicle with Western Australian rego 1BWK 240. The vehicle is listed for $15,000 but would easily sell for around $40,000 or more as fully kitted motorhome in good condition looking at the fake pictures. Ad has been removed from eBay.

So a winnebago campervan is listed on Caravan Camping Sales for $20k, which is well under market value. I contacted the seller to ask what was wrong with the vehicle and why he was selling it at that price, was it a repairable write off for example. I received the below text reply from 0482 077 507:

I also contacted caravan Camping Sales prior to the sellers message to look into it as I believed it to be fraudulent and didn't want anyone getting scammed. Caravan camping sales network messaged me this morning to advise they believe the advert to be fraudulent and to cease any communication with the seller immediately.
