Today I had a text the same as Anonymous got on 9/8/22. So realised it was a Scam & Reported as a Scam which I had been aware of from Origin..

Similar text to others, purporting to be a reminder from origin of my gas account due tomorrow which it is! Ac number is mine, amount due is correct. Mmm, but I am not going to use the link nevertheless

I received an SMS confirming a bill had been sent to my email. I actually got the bill which I was already expecting anyway, by email the night before. I just deleted the text message. I always login to my account before opening any attachments just to be sure

Got SMS with similar detail to many above... told the sender to piss off.
Later got an email to my correct address which continued the conversation.
Have blocked both and reported to ScamWatch

Likely scam. I've received the identical message from this number, with the wrong account number and a bill that I don't owe.

These scammers have been annoying me by phone calls and text messages for some time. I spoke to them weeks ago & then realised after checking my bills that I didn't owe Origin anything!! I received an SMS confirming a bill had been sent to my email. Checked my email and there was a letter with a bill attachment from "hello @ origin.com.au".
I phoned their Help line number (from a previous bill) and they confirmed their email address and the attached bill.
They have recently made changes to their billing system. Seems legit but if in doubt, give them a call.

I am with Origin however I do not have a bill and that is not my account number... Scam

Claims mail not reaching me but I have received mail from the official company recently, so lies.
Likely scammers trying commit ID theft.
