Well, I’m ignoring as I’m not with Origin. Smelling a scam. Please beware!

Got a text saying they want access to my meter and have arranged an appointment for November. I have never requested any meter activity from Origin. Will have to ring them today.

In my case it was a legitimate reminder that a bill for an account I hold with Origin is due in 5 days and I hadn't yet paid it. Not a scam in my case, just a reminder.

I got a text message from this number saying hi just letting you know your Origin electricity bill has been emailed. Not in your inbox check your junk/spam folder - thanks Origin. I did not reply but checked with this number first. It is not the way Origin sends their bill. BEWARE

I am an Origin client and I have also received this message requesting a payment which I have already payed. They have quoted the correct amount. This is a SCAM somehow they have managed to find out how much I owed.

This is a legit number. Its is an Origin sms confirming a sent email. .... Received an sms staying they want to access my property for power box servicing and they have sent me an email. Checked my email and one has been received.

Recieved a 'bill reminder' message at the same time my email bill was being sent.
That mustve been the opener to soften you up.

When it was follwed up a week later with a decently official looking message saying my monthly bill was going to doubled I had a f*cking heart attack

SMS message said that Origin wanted access to my meter. This is a bit scary if it isn't Origin. I have sent Origin an email. Waiting for their reply ... but contact by phone was not on my account preferences.

I just got the same message. Just happened I got my Bill 2 Days ago.

Yes it is. I'm an origin account holder, and my bills are emailed to me, and I also receive email and text reminders about upcoming due accounts

Interesting! My mother must have a property that i don't know about. As far as i know she lives with me and has been for a while now. Unless she can teleport from my house to her house without me ever knowing and keeping her bills low and over using my electricity costing me a fortune, then that's not fair and i'm going to have to confront her about it. Who am i kidding. She hasn't had her name on a utility bill for years. Do these scammers think everyone is gullible. Using the Hit and Miss process with fingers crossed hoping someone falls for it. Thanks for the heads up Origin. Ill get on to paying that asap.
