I called back number 0466 507 313 reached IVR for a company called Recoveriescorp.

Claims to be calling from Recovery Corporation. Incian accent. Asks for your details to ID you without giving any details about who they claim to represent. I've told them they're ID fishing mutiple time but they continue to call to harass, as they know I'm at this numeber to answer.

They claim I have a mobile phone (fair assumption in this day and age) but I don't. They've asked for my email and I've told them that if they've got my details they have that already and will they send me written details. They haven't. They've said they've sent me a letter to respond to. They haven't.

I got this number by calling *10# after one of their calls and the fact that it's not a land based phone number in Australia adds to my already huge suspicion about them. I'm pretty sure it's from an autodialler overseas, connected through a false mobile number here.

They do sound fairly legit in their approach, so I worry some people might be susceptible to their demands for ID. No debt recovery company calls to ask for ID without identifying who they represent first.

They're full of lies and ID fishing. Be very wary.

Got two calls from a private number this morning, answered both and first was heavy breathing and they hung up and the second was a guy claiming to call on behalf of optus who asked me top give me a whole heap of personal details (number, date of birth and address). I refused as I couldn't verify where he was calling from and he called me back on 0466 507 313. Googled that number and this page was the first result.

He claimed to be calling about a debt with Optus - which has already been settled. Extremely pushy and suspicious. Gave me an email address to send the receipt for payment through to and it was
optus_enquiries @ recoveriescorp.com.au

Its a scam. I was called about a $2400 debt with optus over a contract I cancelled last year. Yeah I have had my phone for almost 2 yours so went to the cops, gave a statement and went to optus and there is nothing against my name.... s

Keeps ringing about an Optus debt. I don't have one. Have blocked the number.

I received a call from this number. When I answered they hung up. I called back and received a message: "thank you for using our service" then they hung up again.

I don’t usually answer unknown numbers because of scammers and ex partners but this number has called me 3 times over 2 days and I’ve also suddenly started getting a private number calling me as well which I’ve had 2 missed calls from today. I’m pretty sure it’d be the same guys but if it is a debt collector, idk why they’d be contacting me I have no debts and the debt I did have was over like 3 years ago

this number called 0845H said representing optus and asking my personal details for verification. I hesitated and asked her if he knew me and have my details, send me an email so I can rectify properly and just hang-up the phone. Don't give your details to this number and this will rob your identity. Anyone knows how we can report this to police???

I've received several calls from this number over the last few weeks. They wanted me to of course provide my mobile number, name and etc. I challenged the woman and said that I don't owe any money to anyone. I've since blocked this caller's number.

This so called "recoveriescorp" keep calling me and leaving messages about some debt on my optus account, which is false because everything has always been up-to-date and is on auto renewal. The numbers keeps changing and keeps asking me to pay my debt, which I don't have. It makes no sense. I'll be blocking them as it's just spam and/or scams.

Rang my landline trying to find out all my detail. Said she was from the debt recoveries. I hung up.

One of their other numbers is 0466 507 327. Debt collectors are only supposed to call a max of 3 times per week or up to 10 times a month. These debt collectors will do more than this. Make sure you report them to the police for "using a carriage service to harass"

Rang my land line and didn't respond when I answered the phone. No idea why they called.

Called before 8am and then 16 seconds of silence when I answered. Will be blocking.

Caller: Claimed from Recovery.

They msg me and emailed me saying that I can fill up the form and self manage how much I'm willing to pay without further discuse with them. Just few seconds ago they called me, I picked up and striaght away asked my detail. I told them to give me they office address. But they just asked my detail. So I hang up.

They just called me, first thing they ask, is my name correct. Then ask for my address and D.O.B. I ask why they are calling as I don't owe anyone anything but couldn't give me any details until they could 'enter my file' hmm no thanks, so i declined and he was polite about it just saying he'll send the details to my hotmail - um I haven't had a HOTMAIL account in 5 years! Doubt anything will even be sent. Doesn't sound legit to me.
