Tried to tell me a payment for a $1000 e-card was waiting to be approved from my paypal account. Spoke very fast and wouldn’t let me speak. Got very nasty when I said there was no transaction waiting to be approved in my paypal account.

Caller: Claimed to be PayPal help centre

Was notified of a suspicious transaction on PayPal account. He had details of my recent PayPal transactions, my address etc and wanted me to confirm my card number and CSV code. I cancelled my card at Bank before discussing further. Discussion terminated very quickly when I informed him my credit card is now cancelled..

First I got a txt to phone 1800 317 522 regarding a $699 payment made from my PayPal account. I phoned, got Indian man who said my PayPal account was hacked yesterday & he could fix if I gave him my email. I hung up on him knowing it was a scam.
Within minutes I received a call from this 0451 458 580, same man asking could I now hear him😂 Again he asked to verify my email address, I said you tell me what my email address is, he said no, you tell me. I ended call telling him I knew what he was up to, he quickly told me he will now fix the $699 PayPal wrongly charged to me.
I was never charged for this fee. SCAMMER!!

Same as all the others. This is a serious scam using email, phone numbers and Amazon account. They were able to change my wife’s passwords for her email and Amazon accounts, but of greater concern was that they were able to make changes to one bank account. 2 stage verification protected the funds.

Like everyone else here, I got a text saying a TV purchase from Amazon was successful. I called the number. Slick operation of scammers. Put through to a "manager" who tried to get different account information from me to refund the money. He had my credit card info already. But wanted other bank account details. At that point I hung up and cancelled the card and changed passwords!

This is an Indian scammer,

DO NOT GIVE them the codes sent by Amazon when you forget your Account password. They will use these to access your Amazon account and they will ask you for your credit card or debit card details. Please DO NOT give them your card details or bank details. You will lose thousands. Be very careful and report to Police immediately.

I git a text saying a camera purchase from Amazon was successful. I called the number. Slick operation of scammers. Put through to a "manager" who said his name was Brian Jacobs then tried to get additional account information from me to refund the money. He had my credit card info already. I didn't give further info, but he called back a couple of days later to try again. I cancelled the card and changed passwords, and seem not to have got burnt. Yet!
