Got an SMS from this number, pretending to be from Sullivan Nicolaides Pathology, saying that they tried to contact me, and to ring (07) 3377 8462. I didn’t reply nor did I ring the number. I figured if it was something important they would ring me and leave a message. Tried googling the number too, but doesn’t seem to be from SNP really.

Says Auspost verification code, I have no idea what this refers to so I’m thinking SCAM

Like others, got an SMS interleaved with an existing SMS thread from Australia Post. But it claimed to be from Sullivan Nicolaides LOL. I called the number as I like to see how these scammers roll. The guy had an Australian accent (which is new) and told me I recently gave a sample and I had to provide a new one. At this stage, he did not even know my name. If there was a problem, I'm sure that would have been raised with my Doctor, not with me directly. Anyhow, he asked for my name and DOB. OK, so he's trying to match my name and DOB with my mobile number. At that point, I canned the call as there was not much more I could get out of him without providing more information (which I was not willing to do).
Tell them nothing and check with your Doctor if you want to see whether you need to provide another sample. I believe that is highly unlikely (and it has never happened in all my years) as those path labs double-check everything.

I got exactly the same today - phone rang with No Caller ID - then I got a text message from 0439 591 680 telling me to ring (07) 3377 8462 from Sullivan Nicolaides Pathology.

This person is not only pretending to be a number of Auspost, but also Centrelink. Makes no sense. Scammer. Beware.

Be aware of this caller sending SMS to your phone. The first message was that they changed their logo on their service vans from Metropolitan to.. Upside Down. Then a message followed straight after.. with no number.. but from Metro Group with.. Dear Keelii??? We are on our way.. see you soon. I haven't an appointment with any electrical Co.. my name is not..Keeeli!... Search the Metroploitan Co.. who is an Eletrical trades Co. Their vans have their own logo.. not Upside Down logo as sms states. SCAMMERS!! BE AWARE!

Caller: Someone purporting to be trying to contact me and to ring back 33778747 or 0439 591 680. Got another phone call this morning from, supposedly, Sullivan and Nicolaides and saying there had been a mix up with my blood test birth date and to confirm the date. Sine I had recently had a blood test, I confirmed it, but now I'm not sure the call was from Sul and Nic as there was no number recorded when I checked the incoming calls.

This is probably a scam call as no source number came up on my mobile when I checked after the call.

No message left. Returned missed call and advised number disconnected.

I received a text from this number today. Directing me to contact provider or the Department of Education, Skills and Employment on 1800 805 260. I looked up 1800 805 260 on this forum to find others had reported the number as a spammer.
