It is a phone number from the Australian Government which are a privately owned American company.

I have an SMS that says "Hi MRS (MY WIFE'S CORRECT NAME)
You have an appointment on 10/02/2020 after 8:00am for a technician to check your NBN at (Correct address given).
It then goes on to ask me to reply YES or NO to avoid appointment cancelation.
I have had similar calls from 0416 906 032 and 0439 603 528

Message received from this number, claiming to be a message from Centrelink. That I needed to report to either my provider or Centrelink to discuss changes to my circumstances.

Got a text from this number claiming that my Australian Clinical Labs account is overdue. Tried calling this number but it's been disconnected

So everyone's receiving this SMS from different "companies". Mine's Mendelsons Lawyer (yes, again). They tell me to call them urgently and quote the reference number. I've only an international student so how come I have any debts from an Australian company. Blocked.

Text saying “SDR- Foxtel 131 999: A technician is coming for your Foxtel on Wednesday 18 September 2pm-5pm. Reply YES to Confirm. Reply NO to Cancel or Reply CHANGE to change your appointment by SMS.” when no appointment had been made.

Caller: Scammer after personal info- spelt my name incorrectly too

Threat to fill in employment survey or there will be follow up call - link attached.

Text messages - one from my chemist saying my prescription is ready (legit- listed my specific, not hugely common medication)
Also, from my job active provider (months after first sms) reminding me about an appointment (also legit).
I guess this is just a random ‘cover’ number used in power dialling/texting software.
I haven’t tried actually calling the number though.
