Caller: iiNet I received an sms that read "We detected a line fault on your NBN service. Repairing it may improve your service. (then some appointment details)." I called iinet support and they told me it was actually a legitimate offer. ie that they had detected a line fault and wanted to confirm a time for the tech to come check it.
Simplest is to phone your service provider and confirm the text came from them.

Caller: NBN It was real. An NBN technician arrived and repaired a line fault. Now our internet is much quicker.

Claimed to be TPG wanting a response for a fault call. I have no fault. Why would TPG use a Vodafone number in Canberra.

Text message saying our nbn is running slow. Saying it is sent from iinet. I think it is a hoax as links are sent to be clicked on. Wont be responding
