Search of the URL (“who is” search of domain registry) revealed that domain was only created 48 hrs ago. Obviously a scam, but still had my given name and mobile number. Coincidentally I’d provided my name and mobile to JB HiFi to call me back about a product, and the domain was created exactly 1 hour later. The SMS had mis-spelled my name exactly the same way that JB HiFi did when I contacted them. I didn’t care how they wrote it down at the time, but strange that the scam used identical wrong spelling! Not sure whether it’s safe to contact the store.

It knows my full name and said from Aus Post and asked information for a parcel delivery.

It is a text message saying that I have won the January JB HIFI Giveaway. I have not entered JB Hifi competitions, so obviously a scam.

SMS: AMAZON#105Z4569RT17 paid $2099.00 for MacBook Pro [33cm] M1 on 14 May 2021 order successful, Contact us (08) 8120 0591 if dispute.

I just received saying my order had been "paused" and a url. This an hour or so after an Amazon delivery. Did not use a name.

Payment AU$2099.99 for [Dell intel core i9 Touch Laptop] Successful, AMA_Z0N#06171089XW2. Helpline (02) 8005 1452 For dispute.

SMS including my name saying item held at warehouse needs pay for freight (scam)

Told me I had paid a large sum of money to a gaming venue and click for further details. I deleted text. obvious scam.

Apparently I have a damaged label and "my" shipment has been delayed - so just click here. SCAM. But how did they get my name and number?

I just purchased from JBHI the day before - so someone is selling their database.

"Damaged parcel status report for [my first and last name was used], please read and resolve online [provides link]". No company name provided and I'm not waiting for any parcels so I suspect this is a scam.

AUstralia post. Labels have been damaged critical information is missing called back twice they declined the call. Scam scam scam

They say that my package label was damaged and is missing critical information. And asks for payment when opening the link.

Any reputable company running a competition that I allegedly won would have their name in the text at least.

JBHIFI does not send unsolicited msg's like this. Its a scam. Block and report it.
Obviously the government wont do anything about it. Heck they even praise and promote it in the constitution as good and fair trading. So next time you see a politician...throw a pie in their face as compensation for this harassment.
