Possible scam - received a text message claiming to be from Amazon, saying that my purchase of a HD Camera was sucessful, but I had not ordered a camera. This was the number I was to call if I had a dispute

Caller: I called them after getting a text message.

Was Amazon customer service but turned out to be a scam. Asked for credit card details then my bank rang not long after notifying me of suspected fraud.

Caller: Somebody claiming to be from Amazon

I haven't purchased anything from Amazon (I checked my account). This is the message I received: "AMAZON#105Z4569RT17 paid $2099.00 for MacBook Pro [33cm] M1 on 14 May 2021 order successful, Contact us (08) 8120 0591 if dispute"

Caller: Scammers, supposedly Amazon!

Indian scammers pretending to be amazon call centre staff. Complete scam. Yet another scam from India!! Block this number.

claimed I purchased a mac laptop fro 2500 dollars and to call above number if desputed.
The text came through on a number that only close family have and is never given out to anyone else. Suspect a scam

Got an SMS from 0402 371 675 advising that I had successfully purchased and expensive computer, and this was listed as a call-back number for queries.
