App alerts message in japanese/chinese writing “You've recently gone over your credit limit on Amex card ending in 81006. Prefer not to exceed your credit limit? Call the number on the back of your Card.”
I do not own an Amex Card. Was received 25/03/18 10:40pm
I spent $100 on my AMEX card today. I received a text from this number asking if I wanted to cancel the transaction. When I got home I rang AMEX Customer service. They said the number is genuine and was sent to confirm that others were not using the card. from my bank. Caller: AMEX
This is DEFINITELY AMEX.
I have been receiving weekly balance notification from them via this number FOR OVER A YEAR.
Recently I got nullnull message. Reported the issue to them.

I had the same. Got a text from this number that only had “nullnull”, no idea what that is supposed to mean! Got a blank sms from this number Text msg Chinese but I don't know what's mean. Caller: test message from Amex Fraud Protection with this phone number.
Have just been through the process of receiving a text from this number and is genuine. I logged into my account and got through to Amex. Advised genuine. A number of unauthorised transactions put onto my account.

Text message seeking confirmation of recent charges to card ending in XXXX - do not reply. American Express dont even have an email you can notify them of this - what a crock of sh*t....called the number, asks for your credit card number. SCAM SCAM SCAM

Was a legit SMS from AMEX reporting a fraud alert. Rang them to confirm that charges had been made to the card overseas.
