Don't have an Amex card but keep getting messages that payment is due. Typed STOP but messages keep coming

Received SMS telling me a fraudulent attempt was made on my Amex. Phoned the bank and was told they know nothing about this. I conclude it is a scam

This is definitely a legit number from Amex. It is used to send fraud alert sms messages. If you get this and don't have an Amex card it means someone is using your mobile number as part of their fraud attempt (and failing since they obviously can't reply to approve the payment attempt!).

Safe. app alers from AMEX. Actually very handy for payments, balances and monitoring fraud activity.

Legit number from AMEX, I get SMS from there to confirm payments.

This is a true AMEX number i get weekly sms messages with balances and sms messages when payments are received

I keep receiving text messages saying I entered the wrong pin on my amex card when I have never owned an Amex card or any credit card for that matter... clearly a scam

I received a text yesterday morning, 2 emails and finally a phone call today re charges to my old Amex Card. I called the number on the back of my current card and it was all legitimate and there was someone trying to use my old card. Thankfully Amex were blocking them. It's hard to say if it is always legitimate but perhaps the number is just a generic one used by call centres. Probably best to check directly with whoever is calling/texting by going direct to them.

Just got a text asking to verify AMEX purchase in EUR dollars. This website it great. I wont reply.

Also got this message along with an email at the same time, pretty worrying but clearly a scam. Don't reply if you look up amex actual contact numbers on the website are different

Westpac confirms this is a scam text - do not reply.

I got a msg saying my amount on my Amex is $2700. I don't have an amazing card went into the bank and they said this was a scam!
