Told me that they were from Telstra and were receiving many notifications that my internet was too slow, and she wished to assist me to fix my internet connection. My service provider isn't Telstra. It's likely a scam. I hung up.

These douche bags called me today also. I went to answer and they couldn't and then they just hung up. I always google these numbers to find out if they are scammers and 99% of the time they are. I just blocked the number

Caller: (03) 9917 7878 A lady with an Indian accent who claimed to be from NBN said they had detected an internet security fault (she was using 0423 861 957 to call me at the begining). I doubt her information and she hangs up straight away. Later, she used (03) 9917 7878 calls again, confirming I was answering the phone and she passed the phone to a male who want to show me a website to increase my internet security. Well.. apparently it a scam call. Do not give them any information or access any website they give.

Caller: Amazon Man with Indian/Pakistani accent claimed to be from Amazon checking an order placed for a $700+ iPhone by me. I stated In did not order that. He said a possible fraudulent person was also using my account and continued the spiel about first cancelling the order, then removing the other person blablabla, Next he wanted to give me his details so I could check that his was not a fraudulent call. When I said that I had no pen and paper, he said he would message me the details. To do all this I needed to put on the speaker on my phone and press the home button. That confirmed my suspicion and I said that I was not prepared to do that and I hung-up.Next I googled the number (03) 9917 7878 and found out many complaints about this number, not only about Amazon but also some telcos and banks. Be warned. Btw, I'm sitting behind a good VPN on both my iPhone and my laptop.
