Caller had a Indian accent, said he was from Visa Mastercard Security Services, I need to clarifiy if I had given permission for 2 overseas purchases on my card, I asked which card and bank was he talking about. He said he wasn't from the bank he was from Visa Mastercard Securities, my comment was but surely you must know which of my banks was compromised, I then asked for a phone number to call him back on, even though the number was showing on my phone, not very clever to not hide the number. He hung on me, surprise surprise. :)

Said they were from (inaudible) customer service department. There was a lot of noise in the background like they were in the middle of a busy shopping centre. I advised three times that I couldn't hear them because there was too much noise and they hung up.

Caller: (03) 9340 8189 Scammer

Their number came up on my phone and when you answer it you get a robo message saying your Amazon Prime number is being hacked from someone in California. Trying to charge me $39.90. When you say you want to cancel it.. it takes you to a real person.. I had a guy with an Indian accent. He said someone is California is trying to hack into your account. I said well what do you suggest I do?…should go to my account now and change all my passwords then?” Then he said “no! , if you have a computer or phone I can take you through it.” Then he asked me to go to the App Store to download an app. I told him.. “how do I know your not the hacker trying to scam me?” He just laughed and said you can ring up Amazon. So I said ok, I’ll call you back and hung up. Then I googled this number and got here and realise it was a scam. Watch out.. these idiots actually live in Melbourne! Which is even more shocking. If anyone can trace this number to an address and catch them…hope they name and shame and then lock them all up!

Very lady with Indian accent. Asked if I wanted to keep my Amazon Prime account or cancel it. I said cancel it. She told me I needed to answer some questions to cancel it. I told her no I wouldn’t do that go ahead and cancel. She told me I had to answer the questions and asked why I wouldn’t when I replied I don’t want to answer she told me she would charge me $80 and hung up on me

Didn't recognise the number. Wary of scammers so didn't answer. Caller hung up. Didn't leave a message. Reading comments on this site it was obviously a scammer. Blocked the number.

Scam caller saying my Amazon Prime account was overdue (I do not have an Amazon Prime Account), wanted me to go and locate my phone (it was in my hand talking to him) so he could send me a link to an online form to cancel my Amazon Prime Account. Enquired what type of phone I had etc. I hung up. Has tried calling back 3 times already today.

Scammer. Indian accented female caller. Calling from eBay, purchase order over the phone. I stated I had placed no such order, cancel it, I would be contacting ‘my Bank’ (no names of course). A lot of blather about security/cancellation etc, then came the sting - she wanted me to log into my computer. Obviously wanting to gain access/control and place malware. I told her to *** off. Be wary, she is pretty convincing.

Caller claiming to be from eBay and that someone had purchased an iPhone on my account and she wanted me to download anydesk so I could cancel the purchase. I logged into my eBay account while she was on the phone to tell her there was no purchase made ~ she said hackers hide all the information but they have my details. I hung up as soon as she wanted me to download anydesk. Pretty sure eBay don't call you.
