Caller: Some consultation agency apparently - lady with foreign accent

Said I might be entitled to “customer insurance refund” but I will need to answer first few questions.
I asked her where they got my number and she said from “a local survey”. I told her I have not participated in any survey and am on do not call register. She hung up.

Have had many calls from Victoria that are unrecognisable. I let it ring out, then looked up here to find these comments. Obviously a scam call..

I have had 9 missed calls from this number.
After reading the comments here I might answer next time and have some fun 😊

Caller: “Lucas from Consumer Credit Insurance Company”

Phone call from (03) 9120 7744 that the mobile said was a Melbourne, Victoria number. When I answered it took a few seconds to connect and the classic “hello?” “Hi” “hello?” back and forth for a few times. A man with an accent on the other end of the line identified himself as “Lucas from Consumer Credit Insurance Company” and asked if he could speak with [my first name]. I confirmed I was she and asked him to repeat where he was calling from while I quickly googled his details. “Lucas” said I may be entitled to a refund on my insurance. I said my insurance was not with the company he identified himself from. He asked me to answer four questions to see if I was eligible for a refund. I played along.
1. Lucas asked me to confirm if my address was a parcel locker I used a year or so ago I said it wasn’t. He asked if I ever lived in “Parcel Locker”. I said no.
2. He asked if I had any motor insurance I said yes. He asked what “bank” I purchased my car from. I said I did not purchase my car from a bank. He asked where I purchased and I said a car lot. He asked me to repeat. I said a car lot where you buy cars. He asked me which one and I said I could not recall it was so many years ago.
3. He asked if I ever had any personal loans in the last 10 years. I said no.
4. He asked if I ever had any mortgage in the last 10 years. I said I don’t see how that’s any of your business and he said okay bye then and that was it.
Good chance it was a scam. It in no way sounded legit.

Caller: Said first they were Gordon Legal

Had this place call my mobile as well as business number. Received two websites https://biclaims.com.au/ and https://reclaimcci.com.au/ both and are Asic registered under 637 114 955 Mortgage Claims Pty Ltd.All seemed like a scam call and did not want to give details over random phonecall.

I think its an insurance company bc i got a quote yesterday online, and now its calling me all the time

Lady with accent called me and couldnt pronounce my name properly said i have money owing to me if i had any insurance within 10 years...she said something about the banks over charging people on there insurance...sent me a link to my phone to click onto and solictors will call me back...she said she was reclaim ccl...

This scm is to give me a refund for something I never applied for.Can the Government trace these calls and shut them down.

Had this number call me yesterday,had fun speaking what little French I know at him (despite the fact he knew my name),he hung up after two French phrases.

luckily my good old Nokia recognised it as spam and automatically blocked their call. They surely must have better things to do with their Saturday morning... Do Not Call register obviously doesn't help at all in stopping these calls.

Lady with accent kept saying it is not a false call, but i reckon it is. Kept saying i might be eligible for 4k refund 🤣

Indian accent caller. Said from Gov Unclaimed money .

I received a call from a lady with an accent claiming from Consumer Credit Insurance. She said that I might be due for a refund from being charging consumer credit insurance. She then started to ask me whether I had motor finance and mortgage in the last 10 years. I said no and hung up. It was clearly a scam and the caller tried to get your information.

Called saying I could be eligible for a refund from a lender charging me too much. Could not tell me who that Lender was or where they got my number. Very dodgy and I feel sorry for anyone who might be susceptible and and willingly handover their financial details. Disgraceful.

My wife just received a call from this scam, the Reclaim CCI scam claiming to be acting on a "No win no fee" basis for a royal commission into banking institutions tacking on death/disability insurance into loans without consent, claiming they will be winning this case and providing an undisclosed refund to eligible recipients.

As with another poster in this thread, at the very end of the call, the "call center" they were in erupted with applause and shouting, the lady said that there was a birthday celebration going on there, but was very clearly a celebration of another agent successfully scamming someone else.

100% fraud. Depending on when you call them, they claim to be from Reclaim CCI, or Gordon Legal. Website owned and operated by ACH MARKETING PTY LTD, registered by Mitchel Price. ACH MARKETING PTY LTD is located in Miranda, NSW and employs 4 people (likely the people cheering in the "call center" when someone gets scammed) who generate $614,294 (USD) in sales annually.

Caller: This number called me

I didn't catch the chaps name but he garbled the name of his company and said I could Google it as it will be the first name there. I didn't care. I demanded to know what he was calling about. He started talking about 'eligibility' and 'financial services". I got angry and said it was bad manners to make unsolicited calls. If I wanted financial services I will do my research and then I hung up. Bloody annoying. Probably a scam company anyway.
