tried calling me a few times, when i called back just an answering machine for reliable deals and to hold, possible scam

Wanted to know if I was aware of the changes in electricity prices since the 1 July. Assured me that was all he was calling for. Wanted me to tell him my current rate. Wouldn't be put off.

Looking at these comments I am assuming it's a spam phonecall. My phone has been targeted with so many of these lately. Very brazen.

Repeatedly calls (1-2times a week for 4 weeks now) between 5-6pm. Does not leave voice message

Calls at 6pm, hangs up, no message. Very annoying. Blocked caller.

I answered but couldn't understand his accent (African). All I got was that he was calling about my gas bill (I think). When I kept asking "What, what?"... he hung up.
