They ring constantly and never leave a message. I can only presume they are telemarketers or scammers Caller: Jatesh
He said he was from Optus, and would like to offer me 30% off my bill for the next three months on phone + internet due to COVID. Asked for my DOB, I asked for his name and position in Optus because I said I'd like to ensure it wasn't a scam first. He got defensive and said "WHO told you it was a scam?!" I said nobody, but that I don't give my personal details over the phone without confirming who I am giving them too, and that I'd like to call Optus then call him back. He sarcastically said "Fine then, do that." Then hung up on me. I called Optus and they confirmed they were offering no such deal, and that anything like that would be listed on their website. SCAM DO NOT TRUST THESE LOUSY PEOPL!!
These guys are calling and offering a 50% discount on your utility bills. Please DO NOT fall into their trap. They will first pay your bill and show you the paid screenshot. They will then ask you to deposit 50% of your bill into their account. Once you pay them, they will cancel their payment to whatever utility bill you asked them to pay. After that, you will be left with an unpaid bill and 50% of your bill gone towards them. These are SCAMMERS. Here's an article about them:
Now they are operating as Discount Zone. They have a website and it's fake.
I called back number (03) 9108 7728 reached voice mail but did not say for what company. Claiming to be Vodafone and said they’re doing a “promotion” and that because my number is with Vodafone, I’ve won a free iPhone 12 with free shipping. They can’t even scam properly LOL. Caller: I don't know
they called me pretending to be Optus. they used this platform to say that I get a new iPhone for 50 dollars including the monthly plan. so basically I get a new phone. they say that in order to proceed with the order I have to give them the date of birth and other confirmation information such as your service number. they have name name from the moment they call they. Further they also managed to change contact email though a message code which Optus gave me. after that they used to code to reset my email details and managed to place and incomplete order. They presumably want to order a phone and send it to their address
I didn't answer and rejected the call as the number was from another state. Immediately I saw two Private Call attempts which my phone auto rejected.
Not giving up they tried again the next second with a bizzare number so I answered to humour them.
The caller claims to be from Vodafone and wanted to give me a free phone if I did x,y and z.

THESE PEOPLE ARE SERIOUS FRAUDSTERS! They tricked me into giving them my date of birth after telling me they were from Optus, they knew my name, my plan details and when my plan finished and said they were offering me an ongoing discount. They changed my contact details on my Optus account and suspended my text messages, they ordered a new iPhone. It's only that I got suspicious moments after the call and called Optus to check if they were legitimate that the order was stopped and my account information repaired and new passwords put in place. I don't know the level of detail they now have of me and whether I'll fall victim to further identity fraud. BE CAREFUL, VICTORIA POLICE IS SEEKING THESE SCAMMERS!
Called me claiming to be calling about solar rebates. When I questioned about how she got my details she said I should google and I was "talking like stupid" and hung up. A lady claimed to be calling from Vodafone and said I have won a iPhone 12. No charges whatsoever for the phone but she started the process by asking for my Vodafone account PIN number and that just sounded too good to be true They are thieves - dont give them your info. Caller claimed to be from Optus and offered bill discounts due to COVID-19. Complaint lodged with Do Not Call Register. Caller: (03) 9108 7728
Claiming to be from Solar Solutions. They call on the above number then when you hang up they change to Anonymous number.
