Caller: A scammer Had numerous calls from this number in a single day. Never heard the call but they went through to voicemail. Seemed to be speaking mandarin, or super bad english. The only word I could make out was disconnect. 99% certain this is a scam call so have ignored.

Caller: Robo voice (female) then connected to 'Jack' who clearly was not Aglo Robovoice (friendly female) said from NBN Aust claiming Internet cutoff imminent - call transferred after selecting 1 to 'Jack' who said I called him and he was NBN Telstra. I queried that NBN being a separate entity was not Telstra and did he service iiNet, Optus, TPG, which he said yes, inferring he was an all encompassing NDN troubleshooter. I asked for phone number and address - (03) 9107 5000 242 Exhibition St Melb. Not hard to source a Telstra location when probed.Felt and sounded dodgy as hell.

Was called twice within about 5 minutes, but no one was there to speak to me.
The strange thing was, this happened while i was in the second chat session. (the first chat operator confirmed me was located overseas.) Makes me thing that one of the two chat sessions forwarded my mobile number to a spam call center.
Another reason for Telstra avoid using overseas call centers.

This is 100% a Telstra owned number. I work for Telstra and can confirm that the phone number itself is an Australian onshore owned number under the Telstra name.

Caller: (03) 9107 5000 These guys are scammers but I have just connected to NBN and these guys called me within 10minutes of finishing with legit Telstra. They must have hacked Telstra's system to get this information. Wake up Telstra!

Caller: Telstra I rang Telstra to report someone frauding them by using an altered version of my own address for their bill. (I am not with Telstra.) I had sent back numerous letters received before, to no avail, so today I rang in to report the fraud. This number was used by Telstra to call me back to tell me the matter was in hand. So this is Telstra's call back number. They left me a message as I had asked them to do because I do not answer unknown numbers.

Had a call from a lady, claiming IP address was being accessed by 2 men in California. She quoted Telstra's Melbourne address and phone number (03) 9107 5000. I told her I'd follow it up and ended the call. She called me straight back and called me a bitch! Talk about scammer.

I got a call from this Telstra scammer.
They said that someone named 'Sarah' was having IT issues in our business and gave them my number to verify their identity. They verified my name and DOB. Pity i didn't see this thread. Contacted my bank and credit card companies straight away. Good luck to them getting a loan out in my name, I've been denied credit a good too many times over the last year lol.

Caller: Someone pretending to be from Telstra Scam alert, completely bogus! Don’t believe a word they say, it’s all a con to get your personal information and banking details. They want to drain your bank account, so please don’t fall for it or give them any personal details, not even your name. A woman with an Indian accent. Very insistent and determined, but when questioned, she couldn’t provide any accurate information on the name on our account, our address or what type of internet/phone package we were on. Everything she told me was wrong or fabricated. Beware!
