BLOCK THIS NUMBER- ITS A SCAM. These people pretended to be Telstra then put a fraudulent order against my account to order three brand new iPhones. Luckily I could cancel the order in time

Just had a call from 'Telstra' (03) 9069 5468 offering me a discount which i said i didn't want. He said he sent a one time 6 digit pin which I received but didn't tell him. He then proceeded to ask if I had any issues with internet which I replied no. He then hung up. Definitely a scam

I received a messages with a 6-digit number from ‘Telstra’. Immediately received a call from 03 number. She was offering me 30% discount on my mobile bill for 6 months as I am a good customer. I just had to tell her the code in the message. I told her I didn’t want to take advantage of the discount. This stumped her:-). She asked for the code again. I said I thought the call and offer were a scam and she did not argue but pressed for the code. I hung up.

Big scam. I have received authentic looking PIN number messages from the same number that I’ve also received legitimate Telstra messages from, only they’re worded slightly different. Then a call from this number a few seconds later. I have called Telstra about this and it IS NOT TELSTRA. Telstra sent me an actual PIN message they send and it is worded different. Their pins are also active for only 5 minutes where the scam message states 20 minutes. I called the number back and got a weird sounding automated “Telstra” account, and when the hold went unanswered it forwarded to a voicemail of someone called “Ahmed”.

He called, Indian or Bangladeshi accent, sent pin from genuine Telstra number, asked for my birthday and I gave him, then it smelled too fishy and I hang up. He claimed to provide 30% discount for 6 months. He tried calling from ‭(02) 4044 5748‬ and ‭(03) 9069 5468‬. Be careful our there!

This is a scam. Just hang up. They claim to be offering 30% off phone bill for next 6 months. Hard to understand what they were saying. They tried to access my Telstra account by requesting an email address change.

Definitely not Telstra or Vodaphone.Could not answer number as driving but when stopped found that a pin request had been sent from Telstra to me. Looks like they tried to access my account online, got a pin sent out automatically then rung my number hoping to get all the details. Rang Telstra after finding this thread, confirmed no activity on account and service guy took number above to forward on to specialist fraud department. Also forwarding to Scamwatch
