Same thing.... Calls from this number, I pick up and they hang up. Never someone I can abuse on the other end of the phone to say stop calling.

I would love to calmly tell these people to stop calling, if only I ever got to speak to someone before it hangs up. Seriously, I am not the centre of the universe but I do value not being interrupted and having my kids woken at the end of a hard day. If you work for this company and think we are idiots for getting sick of these fruitless calls (and I know theyre fruitless because I never get to even be asked any questions) , perhaps you get think about getting a less annoying job.

I have had a number of calls from this number and the phone stops ringing as soon as I put my hand on it. I also am on the DNCR. Who are these people? Reading the things that are happening to people who are being contacted by this mob (number) surely the government should do something about them.

My Dad is old and vulnerable and he has a private number which I have also listed on the DNCR. When he receives calls from this number, it worries him. I wish they would just bugger off.

I have received 15 calls from this numbers over the last 10 days... I answered once and they hang up... now I don't answer. I am on the Do Not Call REgister... I am sick of them!

These maggots are poor excuses for humans. They don't represent a govt organisation - clearly. They're trying to find if certain numbers are allocated. Its a fishing exercise. Simply put the number in your phone as 'Scam number' and don't answer when it rings. They won't leave a message and will soon get tired of it and annoy someone else.

just called their other number (03) 9935 5788 and told them to take me off their list. They said if we had hang ups it was from a government survey. I told him to take me off the list he said he would contact them asap and remove my number.Lets see if this works

They ring every week night same time (dinnertime). They have even called Saturday mornings too. This has been going on for weeks now. Wth?

I normally don't answer. Today I did and sure enough, dead silence and then it hung up.

What a sad way to carry out business, Govt or not, it's harassment and invasion of privacy.

I don't call the ombudsman because my experience with them and other agencies is; they are toothless tigers, manned by lazy incompetents, who are working for Govt Dole.

As Alex stated - it is not a personal matter - they are fishing for something and it is not " The Government ". Sometimes they may pose as a Government Agency (Psychology research ) which can not be ruled out. But you see, the existence of this Website with this Topic gives us some interesting answers.
As I said: Be stubborn and get an answering machine. They will soon give up as they have a budget !!!

Frigging annoying this number, it rings and either hangs up before I get to it, or it hangs there "listening" and not saying anything so when it rings I pick up and say nothing then hang up on it.
