Some electrical energy company, hung up and blocked them after their 10 sec spiel

Came up on my phone as potential scam and has called before but as I am warned by my phone I just don't answer. Today thought I'd better research to check it wasn't Tattersalls trying to contact me about a big win and found this page. Thanks guys and now flagged to block by phone so that should fix the bastards.

As others have said why can't Telstra find out who is renting that number and stop them ? It cannot be that hard. If the number comes up on my phone why can't Telstra filter all these calls coming into the Telstra network from overseas once reported as scam and kill them dead before they annoy the whole damn Country ?

Apparently Amazon on a recorded message. This business is highly versatile going by the other comments - electricity co, penis extensions, light bulbs, solar panels... Yes telcos should provide better protection to consumers, especially if they have been made aware of the number.

Caller: Indian guy

He knew my name. Spoke so fast and when I asked him to repeat where he was from and to stop and that I was sorry I asked where he was from again he hung up

Some d*ckhead offering "free lightbulbs from the government". Told him I'm renting and don't care about light blubs. He hung up.

Caller: Said something about federal solar rebate

Indian voice, couldn't understand most of what she said but did hear Federal solar rebate in there somewhere. I bluntly asked "where did you get this number?" and she hung up. I'd say scam.

Wanted to talk about Australian government deals for solar panels.

"You missed a call, but the caller didn't leave a message".

Just thought I'd check who called from this number. I'm glad I checked. Thanks everyone for the heads up!

Indian voice. Call centre. She said HELLO 6 times before I yelled at her and asked her what she wanted. She said she couldn't hear me that's why. I hung up. Blocked.
